Update: we did get a refund on our credit card. I'm still disappointed however that we didn't get a chance to try the food.

The burgers here are very good, as are the onion rings. However, the salmon burger looked like it was salmon loaf from a can, not remotely fresh. Which seems strange to me considering their proximity to nearly unlimited fresh salmon. Cheap of them. In regards to the allergies, if I'm getting a burger, but have a shellfish allergy, why would I state I have a shellfish allergy? Seems unnecessary. We asked if there was green leafy garnish on the burger due to an allergy, the cashier stated there wasn't, though the canned salmon loaf was inundated (verb: overwhelmed) with green leafy things, the exact same as you would get "fresh" out of a can from WalMart. My father has been stating his allergies for over 40 years, I can attest he did so in this case. The cashier should recognize that while there may not be green leafy "garnish" on the burger, it is filled with it. In regards to the menu, maybe you should visit your restaurant and take a look! In the only menu available, (attached) the description of the salmon burger is as follows, "Our very own recipe using sockeye salmon topped with your choice of cheese". While I appreciate the half-witted condescension, you should try again later!

Yummy "regular" flavors, plus fireweed ice cream! A great stop after some shopping and sightseeing.

After reading the reviews we decided to ride into town from our Cache Cabin and give it a try. We shared a scoop of Firewood Crunch and it was plenty for both of us. The crunchy pieces of waffle cone inside were great. Would definitely come back again.

Overpriced, sell some Costco items like muffins and water but good and unique ice cream. Fireweed ice cream is from the Alaskan fireweed flower that blooms in the summer, with chunks of waffle cone mixed in.

It was funny because we decided on getting ice cream and hadn’t read any reviews. There was no line to tip us off that this was a favorite spot for many. So we just chose from the multiple unique flavors. My first taste was pistachio-almond. It was shockingly good. It was only then that we learned we stumbled on some fantastic ice cream. The next day we made a bee- line back for Fireweed, and then Peanut Chocolate. All were high quality and outstanding. Wish we could go back again but sadly we are just passing through……

The Ice-cream wasn’t bad, but it was very expensive and tasted cheap.we had (what we think and looks like) a fingernail …. In the ice cream….

The food was great and you could tell the people prepared it cared about each and every order. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good burger.

Delicious ice cream and the chocolate covered waffle cone is actually a warm chocolate - yummy! Single scoop was on the smaller side but it was smooth, creamy and not at all gummy or overly sweet. (Pralines & cream and also a cookie dough for spouse.) (Just a wee hint of ‘tude when ordering, but it was late, long day for the staff who were perfectly cheery, but tired. They took a smoke break right after but that space was near enough to the customer table area that we moved on so they could relax, have some space and peace…plus, I don’t enjoy the smoke scents.)

Quite possibly some of the best ice cream I have ever had in my life. A must try in Alaska. Get the northern lights and the fireweed!

I had a scoop of fireweed and a scoop of almond mocha fudge, and both were absolutely delicious! Not too sweet, flavorful, and creamy. I especially liked the fireweed flavor- like floral honey almost! The attendant seemed a little confused and distracted, but we got our ice cream fairly promptly anyway. I'll be dreaming about the fireweed ice cream for a long time!

This is the best ice cream in Talkeetna. If there’s a line, it moves quickly and is worth the wait. The fireweed ice cream is fabulous and the northern lights flavor looks like the aurora Borealis! My grandson loved it. They also have a breakfast food truck in the alley and it is the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. My grandsons loved their breakfast sandwiches. It’s a must try! Don’t miss it! Shirley and Al provide great food.

The ice cream was ok but not excellent. It was definitely not worth it for the price ($8 for one scoop). The staff were nice though.

The ice cream was super fresh and creamy. The serving size was great.

First stop for food walking into Talkeetna from the train. Food truck with picnic tables. Great food. If you want to sit instead walk another 6-8 minutes into town.
