Slow and incompetent service.[EDIT TO ADD]We were told we could substitute ham for the bacon on the "classic eggs benedict". The plate arrived with bacon, not ham, and the hollandaise sauce was broken. They offered to remake it, but we half waited an hour and a half so I declined. At about the half hour mark the kitchen had come out to tell us they were out of waffles. We were offered to substitute French toast. When our food arrived we were served waffles and French toast, but not the strawberry garnish. That is what they were actually out of.A member of our party had to walk to the bar and order our drinks after getting no response from our waiter or the person who sat us.We were compensated by the restaurant with a 50% discount. Our bill was still in excess of $80. I suppose that was fair.In addition to the bad service (not limited to our waiter) the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is drab. The silk flowers on the table are not nice. The room is very large and plain - like a bingo hall. The person who seated us looked like he had worked the third shift and had just rolled out of bed. His hair was a mess and he looked very sleepy.I wish this place the best, but they have a long way to go in order to just be satisfactory.
The staff was very friendly and the place was so large! I love breakfast food a lot so the menu was pretty neat, however they don't serve pancakes, only waffles. I liked the coffee and my bf had a chicken biscuit. They give you a lot of food and he mentioned the chicken tasting really good. I would definitely go back to try more stuff!
Kid-friendliness: The day we went they had an Easter bunny taking pictures with the guests.
Azalea's offers a delightful southern-style breakfast in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is served hot, fresh, and generously portioned to satisfy even the heartiest appetite. The star dish, breakfast potatoes, sausage, eggs, and waffles made for a hearty and delicious meal. The attentive and friendly staff make the dining experience exceptional. If you're craving an authentic southern breakfast, Azalea's is a must-visit.
Nice place, always seems clean, it is like one big giant room so it’s like cozy or anything but that’s not really a big deal. The food is a bit expensive but you get a ton so we usually order something that comes with sides and share and it’s plenty of food for two. One work of caution if you are vegetarian or don’t eat pork the biscuits do seem to be rubbed with bacon grease, if you don’t mind that they are good biscuits.
This is the equivalent of one of the waffles you make yourself for free at 2 star hotels and they are charging $15. It was bland with no texture and not worth eating. I want to say the ambiance would improve the experience but that would be a lie. The room is big and empty. It feels sterile, cold and uninviting. The only good thing they have going is the cute “rise and shine” photo spot in waiting area.
I had already taken a couple of bites before I remembered to take a photo (yes, I like lots of black pepper on my eggs). Overall, I was impressed. All food items were hot, fresh, and flavorful. I ordered a biscuit because I did not realize the platter came with toast (not mentioned on the menu; at least I didn't see it). Our server (Haley) was top-notch, always around when we needed a coffee refill. Breakfast is a bit pricey but you get tons of food -- almost enough to share. I would definitely return and would recommend without hesitation.
My husband and I decided to go to Azaleas for lunch today because we were craving sausage gravy biscuits. This was my second time going, his first. My first visit was fine. This one was disappointing.I'll start by saying the staff (our waitress and others) on the floor were all very pleasant. The beignets were good as well.Unfortunately, the oven was broken today so they didn't have biscuits. That happens. Since I couldn't get the sausage gravy biscuits I settled on the waffle plate (eggs, bacon, grits) and my husband ordered the same, plus a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. We waited on our food for 30 minutes- that's a long time for breakfast items- but that wasn't a huge deal.We finally received our food and the waffle was a pre-packaged waffle that we buy from Costco, which aren't even that good. They are just an easy grab and go kind of food so to see that on my plate was extremely disappointing. I held out hope that I was wrong, but one bite confirmed it. It was definitely the very same thing sitting on my counter at home. I don't think it is unrealistic to expect a waffle to be made in house...After realizing the waffle wasn't even cooked there we became more annoyed at the long wait for the food. And though we didn't order anything special, we thought the basic stuff would be good and worth the money but it really wasn't.I had the Gouda shrimp and grits the first time I went and I would definitely recommend that. But if you are going for the basics, this is not the place.
Seriously one of my favorite places to eat! The staff is always so nice and helpful! It’s such a cute little restaurant with a nice atmosphere! I love the little flowers on the tables. Never hesitate to ask if you’re not satisfied with your meal because they WILL fix it! I highly recommend trying the French Toast with Grits and Fried Potatoes! And if you’re of drinking age their drink menu is amazing! I had my daughters birthday here and could not have been happier with the experience.
Kid-friendliness: Very fairly priced kids meals, cheaper than McDonald’s! They have cute menus for the kids to color on as well!
Great meal! Everything was wonderful. Our server Hanna was sweet and very attentive.
We came in for dinner on a Wednesday around 6:15pm. Our experience overall was pleasant and our server Hanna was lovely! We were the only table (and wondered if the restaurant was open). We are self-proclaimed foodies and the menu definitely has some delightful brunch options. Although, the food quality was not top notch. I feel like if you are going to serve (almost only) brunch items then those items should be 10/10 great. We ordered a variety of items including two brunch meal selections, one dinner selection (a burger which was very good!), an appetizer and a dessert. The sauce on our deviled eggs Benedict was completely separated. It didn't taste bad but it was definitely not the texture of a Hollandaise sauce, more like melted butter and cheese. I also didn't see bacon listed on the item description although it was a yummy surprise. Our salmon patties and pimento chicken biscuits were pretty good and served hot. However, the grits (which are usually our favorite item) were flavored well but the temperature was almost cold. The dessert beignets were delicious! If I may make a small suggestion - they would have been a 10/10 if served with a dipping sauce to counter the texture of the powdered sugar. A raspberry compote or something alike would be lovely.Overall rating 3.5 for food quality, speed and attentiveness as we were the only patrons and everything still took a very long time. May try dining again to see if any changes are made and we wish you the best in your future endeavors. :)

We ate here yesterday and had an amazing time. Drinks were not only pretty but tasted amazing. The servers were very professional and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I had the fried French toast and my friend had the chicken and waffle sliders. Both were great and we will be returning. New spot in Alabaster and definitely worth a try.
This was our first visit and it won’t be our last. My husband had French toast with eggs and sausage. He loved the sausage patty because it was thick and spicy. I had the southwestern eggs with Gouda grits. Those Gouda grits are to die for. Of course the beignets were awesome. Natalie was our server and she was sweet and attentive.
Food was pretty good; however, I am not sure if I will go back. The servers need to be trained and have better courtesy. We were seated at a table which a waitress did not know she was supposed to take care of so it took 15 minutes to be greeted. However, I’ve been a waitress before and I know this happens a lot so I understand. What really rubbed me the wrong way was the other waitress that was in the same section made eye contact with us several times and saw our waitress ignore us but never asked us if we had been helped. I was confused because I had no idea who our waitress was and thought we were being blatantly ignored. I finally went up to the host stand who ended up going to the kitchen to get our waitress. She finally took our order and we waited. Tickets were apparently very backed up so the food was super slow to come out. My baby was getting cranky so I wanted to see if we could get our order packed to go. We barely saw our waitress again after we ordered so I asked the other waitress (same rude one from earlier) if she could please get our waitress. She says “sure” but decides to clean her table first. I patiently waited. When she was done I watched her go to the back and I watched her and my waitress cross paths. Rude waitress says NOTHING to her. My waitress comes out and is cleaning other tables clueless that I am trying to get her attention. I was just shocked at the entire situation. Finally host comes by so I tell her the situation and she promptly gets my waitress and we finally get our food to go. Just wanted to share my experience. Seems like there is drama among the staff to the point it is taken out on paying customers. Extremely unprofessional.
Got there was sat within 5 minutes great, staff walking all around nobody comes to our table, 15 minutes go by, we have to request 3 times by then for someone to come to us. We were told maybe try to wave someone down, cool. Waitress doesn't know we were in her section cool, ordered everything at once. Other people sat around us 10 minutes after we ordered they have appetizers drinks, we have drinks... an hour waiting no food just some sodas... terrible service very disappointed was really looking forward to a brunch spot close. Just go get hibachi next door.Edit: food is pretty good disappointing the staff probably hasn't been trained properly and their sections were all over the place, management needs to step up here.
