Very unfriendly atmosphere, bland food. Had one Cornona, two chicken polo locos and a Dr pepper and it cost $42.
Definitely not worth the price I paid since the chicken tasted like it wasn't marinated and they just sprinkled some great value taco seasoning from walmart on it.
The servers never talked and asked what we thought about the food and it wasn't like they were busy.
Will not return.

Worst mexican food we have ever had! Watery bad tasting salsa, meat not seasoned at all. Chips were not flavorful. No tomatoes on anything. Enchilada did not have an authentic mexican taste. Go to Carlos' on Wheeler Street instead!

I came in about 7 pm on a Thursday night and noticed the neon lit La Posada Specials board posted in the wall just as I entered. There were some interesting dishes advertised, one of which peaked my interest this particular visit. That was the "Molcajete". Chips and salsa were placed at my table promptly after I was seated. I wasn't fond of the size of the salsa bowl. Kinda odd to have to mention, but it wasn't very big around, so you really need to break each chip in half or into smaller pieces to get a real scoop of salsa. And... I thought the salsa flavor/consistency was just.. OK. I ordered the molcajete and my goodness... the presentation was remarkable. The dish itself was huge, overflowing with fajita, chicken, shrimp and nopales (grilled cactus). It also had a grilled/fried hunk of cheese in it, onions, peppers, grilled jalapeño, and charro beans in the bottom. That thing could easily be shared by 2 people. It was a lot. It was delicious! It was accompanied by a plate with rice, which I thought was also just... OK, a small portion of shredded lettuce, sour cream & guacamole. The rice just didn't seem very fresh. It wasn't soft, steaming. It was probably what was leftover from the day. That's OK. I would definitely recommend the molcajete though, to share, or to plan on taking leftovers home with you. If there was a smaller portion, I would have ordered that. It also wasn't cheap, at a price tag of $38.50, which wasn't posted on the "Specials" board. I also didn't see it in the menu. That's my fault for not asking. But it was a generous portion.
