i recently visited Lawler's BBQ at 1506 US Hwy 72 E, in Athens, AL. I was passing through and gave this place a try. It turned out very good. First, the decor inside is fantastic and I enjoyed walking around looking at it all. I was hoping to get a quarter of half chicken but they just had pulled chicken. It turned out to be a very good sandwich. A good place to visit.
I had seen coworkers eating the stuffed potatoes at work, so I decided to give Lawler's a try. I've never been a fan of stuffing baked potatoes with anything other than cheese and bacon, but I've heard so many people rave about Lawlers. My youngest son is even more picky than I am. I bought the stuffed potatoes for all four of us in my home. We all loved them, even my youngest! The pulled pork is excellent. The best I've had. And the " Two fer" Tuesdays...
Parking: The parking lot is not that big there is only about 10 spots in the whole parking lot. But I can say there is a huge parking lot behind the building which is technically the Crackel Barrel parking lot.
