Matthew, the owner, is a great guy. Does a really good job taking take of his employees and his clientele.I tried the Ruben and it was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu. I appreciate you guys!
The best Philly cheese steak around!Be sure to try the strawberry pretzel salad if they have any left! Everything has always been top quality ?. Very thankful for the family who runs it and always putting out great food! I've been eating here for atleast a decade and it's always consistent!

We were disappointed that the food we wanted to try was only available during lunch hours. We decided to give the dinner entrees a try. My blackened shrimp had no flavor or seasoning. My husband's salmon also had no seasoning. Small portions, high price for very bland food. Also, bottled sweet tea was disappointing as well. Service was great, just need the chefs to be better trained.

This is a wonderful place is a gem of Athens. We’ve been twice and neither time was we disappointed. Our sandwiches are fresh tasting and very yummy! Couldn’t recommend enough. Hope to be able to attend a Friday night dinner meal soon.

Place has been open for 20 years and I just learned about it today. Great sandwiches. I had a Reuben and a cup of taco soup. Apparently, on Friday nights the do filet or crab cakes or other high-end kind of stuff. They also have wine and beer. Please check them out. Really top-notch!!

Went today for lunch around noon, ordered a half Philly cheese steak. It was not good, don't know if it was a bad day or what. The meat was extremely greasy and salty, bread was way beyond toasted(burnt) , the highlight of the sandwich was the green peppers. The sandwich was also very dainty with a hefty price ($10.00). I have heard good things before, but I don't know if I will ever do that again.

The deli sandwiches are great my favorite is the Ruben. A lot of charm just very little seating.
Food was great! Ordered 8 meals with a short notice and picked them up within the hour. Owner suggested next time to call ahead and not to use Grub South. He would rather you call your order in. Cookies are a sensitive subject may want to call ahead and see if they have them.

My friend recommended I try this place , and I was not disappointed ! I had the Dagwood sandwich, broccoli salad ,and strawberry pretzel salad and it was all good! I definitely will be back. This is the half and it is huge!

I have ordered the same sandwich the exact same way 3 times and all 3 times I got a different sandwich…. First time it came with mustard on it, which isn’t listed on the menu description for the sandwich. Second time they put tomatoes on it even though I told them twice NO tomatoes. Third time it can with only 1 small piece of cheese on the end of the sandwich and 3 tiny pieces of lettuce. And all of these orders were placed when there was literally no other customers in the building and they were not busy at all. Other than the guy making the food continuously complaining about having to make food for people. They also don’t say anything when you come in the door so you just stand their awkwardly until the person at the register actually notices you standing in front of them. For the price of the food they should at least be able to get a ham and cheese right.

My wife and I discovered this little gem a few weeks ago, and we love it! The food is tasty and inexpensive, and the atmosphere is happy and casual. It is obvious that the people working there love what they do. Can't wait to go back!
