Excellent country cooking at an affordable price. Good portions, great service, fine sweet tea, and plenty of Southern hospitality. There's the daily specials and also a menu - something delicious for everyone.
We looked up breakfast restaurants on our trip from Biloxi to Indianapolis and found the Anchor Cafe. Very friendly and had a home town feel. I would have given five stars if the bacon had been cooked more and crispy. The pancakes were very good. Nice service and attentive. A great breakfast or lunch spot. Cash only.

Just a little block building that served up a great breakfast for the wife and I. They were very attentive to my wife's allergies, plus a senior gentleman greeted us as we entered as well as opened the door for other guests! I call it a home town gem!
