Terrible reservation cancellation policy. Charged $150 ($25 PER PERSON) on a reservation that was cancelled 24 hours beforehand. I could see a $25 cancellation fee, but $150 is excessive. Ironically there is not anything on the brunch menu that is even $25, so they basically got $150 without ever having to serve one meal or wait on one person. I hope they will make this right, because we were trying to be courteous since it was a high volume weekend, but I guess 24 hours isn’t...read full review
We went for brunch. After 20 mins, we were told it would “be a while” for coffee due to the amount of people wanting coffee. There was as an extra “fee” for the cooks. My French toast was kind of hard and there were no sides. I was underwhelmed. Sadly.
We have been to Lucy’s many times bc of the trendy atmosphere. The food isn’t really anything to write home about. Additionally they think it’s acceptable to charge someone a $60 fee if they cancel their reservation within 24 hours. We will not be returning. Lucy's, a restaurant and larder, is a welcoming and caring place for any occasion. The staff is praised for their excellent communication, from booking a private event to providing attentive service during the visit. The restaurant offers a variety of delicious food and drinks, such as the Mandarin basil smash, shrimp and grits, Lucy's big bad breakfast, smoked salmon tartine, and lavender donuts. The smoked salmon tartine and shrimp and grits are particularly appreciated for their fresh ingredients and perfect cooking. Despite being located in a strip mall, the decor is lovely, and the tables are spaced well, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The menu includes many nice options for apps, entrees, and desserts, with the bread pudding being a must-try for dessert. The service is friendly, helpful, and attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance is described as really special, making it an ideal place for private events and a favorite for food lovers. The restaurant is highly recommended for its excellent customer service, remarkable food, and charming decor. The vegetable app is delightful, and the salad with salmon entree is enjoyed. The atmosphere is on the loud side but this should be expected for a kid friendly, popular restaurant. The staff is amazing and catered to every need, making little drink umbrellas. The staff is sweet and accommodating, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations.
