Umami Auburn is a popular restaurant serving a variety of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese dishes. The menu features a range of options, including Spicy Pork, Bulgogi, Filet Mignon with Fried Rice, Auburn Rolls, Potstickers, Ceviche, and Jjamppong. Customers praise the freshness of the fish, especially the bent creek roll and tuna, and enjoy dishes like Umami Cham Ppon red, which is packed with flavor. The ramen has been highlighted as the best in Auburn, standing out among many. Jjamppong, raw rice, and salad are also popular, with the ability to adjust the spice level for Jjamppong. The restaurant is known for its excellent service, good ambiance, and generous portions. The atmosphere feels more like a bar than a typical restaurant, adding to its unique charm. Takeout options are available, and dishes like spicy chicken are highly recommended, though the sauce can be very spicy at the bottom. The staff is kind and accommodating, and the ingredients and execution are generally very good. Customers have found the udon noodles to be very good, accompanied by a rich broth and excellent tempura. However, there have been requests to change the music, as it has been the same for a long time. Overall, Umami Auburn is a highly recommended spot for a delicious and filling meal, with service improving with each visit.
