Saw this place had good reviews and wanted to see for myself. Happy I did. Got a pork chop, Mac and cheese, yams and cornbread to go. When I got home I took one bite of each and did a little dance. Damn… everything was good. Will go back again and highly recommend this restaurant.
First time here but my sister and brother always eat here. I was advised that everything was good. Sunday afternoon, wasn't very crowded at all but it was a holiday weakened so this may be why. There appeared to be plenty of food on the steam table, however there were not a lot of selections. I picked up several to go plates which included the same vegetables collard greens and candied yams, ox tails and fried chicken. the cornbread was "hotwater cornbread" and was pretty good....read full review

They were only offering takeout when we arrived for Sunday lunch, so we enjoyed our food in a nearby park.Pork chop, fried chicken, green beans, peas, corn, sweet potatoes, cornbread -- everything was good.
