We were just in town for a few days. We love good Italian food and are spoiled in St. Louis with “The Hill” and our Italian population. I searched on line for “best Italian” in the area. I am learning not to believe all of the raving reviews. Amore was rated 5 stars by tons of people. From the “stunning ambiance” to the “intimate and romantic “. This is not 5 star dining on any level. I feel sad for people if this is the best dining experience they've ever...
1st time last night for anniversary. Employees were all very kind and attentive. Food was delicious and you can tell made with care. Wedding soup was delicious. Veal melt in mouth tender. What I would call an old school Italian restaurant. Great food and service. Romantic decor with a Sinatra portrait above the bar and music quietly in playing in background. Best Italian food I've found in bham area.
Paul has been our server a couple of times. Not impressed at all and have requested to not sit in his section again. He forgot to put in things that we ordered, did not apologize, didn't try to make it right. Seemed put out and in a hurry. This has been our experience each time we have had him as our waiter.
