Went here for brunch and everything I had was delicious. The smoked fish dip was one of the best foods I've ever had, and I loved the dill in there. The grilled oysters were really good and kind of tasted like if you made an oyster Italian. The brioche French toast was pretty good, and the shrimp and grits had a great cayenne butter. I got the spicy bloody Mary, and it had a good spiciness.

Had brunch here on 03/16/24. The food came out cold, and was not worth the price. I was very dissapointed. I have been here for dinner and was blown away with how good it was. I will probably not go back for brunch. Our service for brunch was great though.

We have been here multiple times and they knock it out the park every time. The murder point oysters are incredible and that is coming from a person that prior to ASO wouldn’t even try a raw oyster. Hushpuppies and rolls are great!! Swordfish is on point and don’t forget the gumbo, you will not regret it. I have never had a dish here that I had to send back or did not like! The ambiance is my favorite, from the lighting to the seating to the peek of the kitchen. The patio is great too. The little candles on the table are so fun. Even the bathrooms are cute! We have never had bad service. The service here is elevated. I love that every little detail was thought about, down to the napkin linens. I haven’t found a better fine dining experience in Birmingham. The only thing I wish they had is a bread pudding desert ;)

It’s so good that my wife and I have actually gone on a personal quest to attempt to top this dining experience. From the food to the drink selection to the ambiance, automatic seafood is an unforgettable dining experience and even more surprising is that from my experience they have sustained it on multiple occasions.

Automatic Seafood is one of the BEST restaurants in Birmingham. My partner and I are both from a costal area known for seafood, so we both had some reservations about good seafood in Birmingham. However, we both were pleasantly surprised at how fresh all of the food was and how special all the preparation that went into each dish. From the appetizer to dessert everything we had at Automatic was memorable, delicious, and has us hungry to come back for more!
We had the best experience. We drove from Decatur, AL to try this restaurant and was very pleased. Atmosphere was very enjoyable as you could actually hear yourself talk. Lighting was perfect and the chairs were so comfortable. I cannot speak enough about the service. Probably the best that I have seen in a really really long time. Food was outstanding. All the selections were cooked to perfection.
