Daylight Donuts beats KK every day of the week. Very friendly staff, good prices. On occasion you can taste the cooking oil a bit more than I like, but it’s rare. Most of the time, perfect. Try the glazed croissant. Trust me.
Holy cow. Their glazed donut would be on my list of things I want to eat at my last meal on earth. People are super nice. I drive out my way to go to this place even though the neighborhood isn't the best.

This place is a lifesaver as someone from out of town. They're open at 4:30AM and have coffee and incredibly fresh donuts. I know it's a chain but wish this chain was in NYC.
