Let me tell you, my BHam peeps, if you are looking for an event space for a gathering, you won't beat Freddy's Wine Bar on Highland Ave. Their service, attention to detail, food quality, wine, drinks, and food will all combine to make your event special!! The kitchen was amazingly efficient at serving our party of over 20 persons.The Charcuterie tray was da bomb! A great array of pastas, salads, and flatbreads will amaze and please your guests. These are great folks to work with.

Freddy's is one of my go-to wine bars in Birmingham. It's got such a great vibe to it! Amazing interior and an even more amazing outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Huge selection of wines and wine-paired foods. The staff have excellent knowledge and will be able to get you a wine that you will like! Cheers

Staff is hit or miss, but I think they've been doing some work on that. Food is always consistently delicious, and so is the wine. It's probably the best Old Fashioned cocktail in Birmingham.Parking: Parking is off Highland Avenue and they don't open until 4pm soooo...good luck with finding a good spot close by ?

Our second visit to this restaurant was even better than the first! Gabby, our server, went above and beyond with her awesome and courteous service. The atmosphere was lovely, creating the perfect setting for breaking bread and enjoying drinks with friends. Despite its trendy vibe, the restaurant warmly welcomed my young children as well.Since we were part of a large group, we decided to explore various options from the menu. The charcuterie board was absolutely amazing! The large portion was generous enough for all six of us to savor. We also indulged in several other appetizers, all of which were delightful. However, the truffle roasted taters stood out as the clear favorite among everyone. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the desserts! We couldn't resist trying the affocato and almond tartes, and they were incredible!While the main dishes we ordered, the carbonara and tortellini, didn't impress me as much, I'm already looking forward to returning for more of their delectable small plates and awesome drinks. This place is truly great overall!Vegetarian options: This place offers a wide variety of vegetarian options, which is fantastic! Although I was slightly disappointed that they couldn't accommodate changes to the premade main dishes, there were still plenty of other enticing choices available.Kid-friendliness: Despite its cool vibe, I felt warmly welcomed at the restaurant with my children, aged 6 and 10. The staff made us feel comfortable and accommodated, creating an enjoyable experience for the whole family.Parking: There is ample street parking available in the vicinity.

Had not been here since before the world shut down....Great wine selections, amazing drinks and an incredible outdoor vibe. Went inside just to use the restroom and realized we almost wanted to be inside on a sunny day! Great music and relaxed atmosphere. We did not eat but friends of ours did and looked amazing! We will be back soon!

We were enjoying a couple glasses of wine toward the end of the evening and the staff spilled or cleaned the main area next to us and other guest with concentrated bleach. The entire inside wreaked of bleach and made enjoying food and wine intolerable. One staff member was apologetic about the smell but without any sort of solution. We had to leave the smell was so terrible without finishing our wine and dessert.

The whiskey cocktails were viscous, syrupy, sugary messes. Guaranteed sugar rot if you have more than one. Service and ambiance was good though, wife enjoyed her wine. The water comes in a bottle with a hand plugged cork. The cork with the water bottle was cute but seemed unsanitary (especially if reused)

We had a party for my husband’s birthday this past weekend and were so impressed by the execution of service. If you want to be truly taken care of, come to Freddy’s!
