I love this restaurant. I am a flight attendant and was in town for a layover and I decided to get brunch because I was going through a really hard time. It was actually my mom‘s death anniversary and I was struggling. I ordered brunch and a carafe of mimosas to myself and Riley (staff) actually came to talk with me and I really needed that. The staff seem to care about their jobs and their customers. Even while dealing with difficult people they kept their composure and grace. I would definitely go back if I’m in Birmingham again.

This place was worth the walk from the hotel, and there was no disappointment .
Greeted very will as we walked in and waited to be seated. The coffee ☕️ was great as our waiter helped us with the menu, the breakfast was delicious and the chocolate crossaint. Please give this place a chance for a good beginning of your day.

Stopped by with my traveling buddy for lunch as this was one of the higher rated places in the area. A little off downtown from where my friend I were staying with his mate but not an issue. the server, Kyle was a superstar. He was genuinely happy to be working and answered my questions and gave recommendations on food options. Food portions were not over filling and it was certainly tasty. They source for ingredients around the neighboring states and it was not oily or too fattening. If you are lucky to get Kyle as your server, he’s definitely going to make your day!

I found the food and atmosphere to be truly enjoyable. The dishes were well-prepared, and the ambiance created a pleasant dining experience. However, the service left a lot to be desired. It took an excessively long time to receive my order, and when I tried to request additional items or simply get the server’s attention, I was left waiting even longer. On one occasion, I ended up spending nearly three hours there just to order a coffee and a salmon sandwich.
If you decide to go, be sure to set aside plenty of time. While the culinary and aesthetic aspects are commendable, the slow service could test your patience. I hope the management addresses these issues soon.

A great upscale spot for brunch. Crowded on the weekends. Parking on the street, so you may have to walk a block or two. Not a greasy spoon.

Great Ambience and Exceptional Food!
We spend a lot of time visiting Birmingham and starting our days dining at local coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants; and of all the spots without a doubt the Frothy Monkey is by far the best brunch location with regards to the quality of the food and service. The breakfasts are insanely delicious, everyone is super friendly and attentive, and the ambience very inviting.
Couple of favorites: the Cali Toast, which is an egg over fresh mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, avocado and sprouts, served with balsamic tossed greens, bacon over warm toasted sourdough bread. I usually always order the Loaded Biscuits & Chorizo Gravy with fresh eggs and sprinkled with cheddar cheese. Both are great dishes, but the menu is loaded with other epicurean delights.
Just a Heads-Up - this place is a popular location and when we usually arrive their is a short wait, but it moves quickly and is well worth the wait.
Parking: Street parking was available and easy to get close to the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: Family friendly.

Our server had a crop top sweater on and her belly was hanging out over our food. First time I’ve ever scene or heard of something like this in a restaurant. It was so so so bad.
