The ambiance of the old home was charming, our meal selections were delicious, and our servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items. This was the quickest fine dining experience we've ever had! We arrived 15 minutes early, and we were in and out of the restaurant in an hour! It was my husband's birthday and everyone wished him well, and the offered him a complimentary birthday dessert!
Our server was lovely and perhaps the owner (I think) came by to chat with us. Everyone was very friendly and the food was wonderful!
This was our kind of place--kind, wonderful staff with quality entrees and an atmosphere where we could actually have a conversation. Really enjoyed it.
Had the scallop piccata. Too many capers made the dish a bit too salty. Scallops were cooked to perfection but only three! Noodles were al dente but the sauce was a little thick. Great staff and ambience. Would definitely go back if I lived here.
We have been considering Galley and Garden for a few months, and we finally decided to make it our date night destination. We were not disappointed! Our server, Lauren, was incredible and knowledgeable about the menu items. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, the short rib pot pie, and the fish of the day, which was redfish served over lobster risotto. Everything was delicious!

Service was very good, constantly waited on. Nice recommendations and timely. Food is pretty good although a bit pricey for what you get. Overall value is not bad. Valet was friendly.
The seared scallops were tender with a subtle sweetness, and the duck breast carried rich flavor balanced by seasonal vegetables. Service felt refined but approachable, and the historic mansion setting gave the evening a polished, memorable atmosphere.

If you're looking for a great dinner spot, this is it! We had a wonderful time. My wife ordered the pork shank with mashed and sweet potatoes, and I had the scallops with Alfredo pasta and asparagus. The kitchen did an amazing job—all our food was cooked to perfection. Make sure to save room for dessert, because the bread pudding is an absolute must-try! We had a fantastic experience and can't wait to go back.

A very disappointing and pricey experience.
Fried green tomatoes were greasy and covered in an over powering cream sauce. Fried oysters were also greasy and chewy.
The Caesar salad with a crab cake consisted of a bland tasting crab cake laying on a finely chopped bed of lettuce with an unusual tasting sauce and two anchovies.
The salmon dish was so so.
No desert.
Highlight of the night was the old fashion and glass of Chenin Blanc.
Service was there at first and then not.
Parking attendant was great.

We had reservations for six last week. Galley and Garden was quiet and relaxing. The service and food was excellent. We will definitely come back!

Nice place. We have dined on Mother's Day with a fixed menu and again for a birthday dinner.
Wonderful find! We are new in the area and just stumbled upon this dining gem through Open Table. Wonderful dinner. Lentil loaf is fabulous. Fried green tomatoes outstanding. Bread pudding wonderful. Service exceptional. Will definitely be back for another lovely evening.
I made a reservation for a birthday. I was VERY disappointed and feel like a fool for paying premium price for a mediocre meal. At best, it was just ok. Lobster ravioli was a gummy and lacking flavor, the pot pie contained a few peas and carrot chunks but other than that was the texture of baby food. Salmon was just OK. Bread pudding was lacking and dry. Cocktails C+. In total, Nothing special, no atmosphere, no presentation. Service was adequate and staff friendly but overall I feel taken advantage of.

Really enjoyed it, service was great and the atmosphere was very nice, easy to hold conversation even around other diners. The food pictured are the Pimento Fritters and the Coq au Vin, both great. Highly recommend it

10/10. This is one of my family’s favorites. We come here for every special occasion. It never disappoints. I only snagged photos of the desserts we ordered, the bread pudding is always my personal favorite. I get the shrimp and grits as my entree and it is the best in BHAM!
