I so wish I had read reviews before I went to this restaurant, it was terrible. There were Five of us and no one got good food!!! I spent $600 and only thing that was good was the wine. I would never go back.The parking attendant was great.

Overvalued for what you recieve.They did give a complimentary dessart for my wife's birthday.Scallop dish only had 3 scallops.Not much veal on the shank dish.

Love the food and staff here! The cocktails were incredible, Megan the bartender is one of our favorites. The valet was super kind, even walked us to our car with an umbrella in the rain. The food was incredible, best chopped romaine salad (obsessed with the buttermilk dressing) and the lobster ravioli was probably the best that I've had. Could not recommend more highly.

Our clinical team was in Alabama for the very first time and Galley Garden showed us the beauty and delight that is within the great state of Alabama. Fantastic food, service, and a gorgeous home turned restaurant-the staff created an atmosphere of high sophistication. We look forward to returning in the future!

Galley and Garden is an outstanding restaurant and a crown jewel of Birmingham. It is definitely in the top five along with Hot and Hot Fish, Bottega, Chez Fonfon, and Cafe Dupont. The ambience is warm with soft lighting and a luxury victorian home setting. Prices are in the high category but you get what you pay for.

Galley and Garden was already our favorite date night restaurant, and tonight's visit solidified that. My wife and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary. The food, atmosphere, and especially the atmosphere and stellar service made this the special night we were wanting. They even allowed me to deliver my wife's gift earlier in the day for safe keeping. Highly , highly recommended.
We rented the private dining room upstairs and had a fabulous birthday dinner, the servers were great, the food was good, but the room was spectacular. A destination place, probably not on my regular rotation, but a good job, solid restaurant, great space and location to impress.

We shared a Caesar salad and shrimp and grits. The salad was delicious with just a hint of dressing. The shrimp and grits were excellent with large shrimp and a really tasty sauce in the grits. Both dishes were quite large enough for sharing. And Savannah did a really nice job serving us. The only negative was a nearby table of four very loud women...very loud!

Now that the dust has settled on our Easter brunch, I thought I would post about our experience. We've been to Easter lunch at Galley and Garden several times. Always a fantastic experience. This year was terrible. Will not be going again. Nothing was "fine" about the food, which felt like something I'd get at a wedding buffet. Everything was pre-made (ex. for steak and eggs - we couldn't get eggs over-easy...all eggs were scrambled and already prepared. Couldn't order a temp for the steak - "The chef is not able to make any changes," we were told). My salmon was okay, but the broccoli and rice pilaf sides looked like something I'd get at my children's school, not a fine-dining restaurant. It was kind of a joke. G&G was once a great spot, but they've lost the plot.
