My husband and I came for my 30th birthday, and overall had a good experience. There were a couple of hiccups with our service unfortunately. Our server asked if I wanted bernaise on top of my filet and then the filet was served to us with lobster on top, which I am allergic to. I had no idea that the bernaise came with lobster and this was never mentioned at all when we ordered. I then had to wait for them to recook my order while my husbands dinner sat on the table. This lobster addition was also added to our bill until my husband asked that it be removed. They also didn’t do anything to celebrate my birthday, which I did communicate in our reservation, even though the guests two tables down got a dessert with a candle for the birthday in their party. The host/owner did wish me a happy birthday several times but unfortunately I didn’t get the candle. The food was great and the ambiance was excellent, I just wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

What a wonderful dining experience!! My daughter and I have been wanting to have dinner here for awhile. Finally went and we both just loved everything about it! The staff was great, the atmosphere was terrific and the food was exceptional!! We shared the pimento cheese fritters for an appetizer. And since we both were torn between the lobster ravioli and pan seared scallops piccata we ordered both and shared them as well along with the fried green tomatoes with loster and pimento cheese sauce. Needless to say we were unable to eat it all but we definitely tried, lol! My daughter has the pics on her phone so I'll add them when I get them. We both had a glass of wine also. After adding a 30% tip for our very attentive waiter I spent a tiny bit over $200. But it was well worth every cent!! I highly recommend everyone make a point to dine there, you'll thank me for it!! We're already talking about going back and it was barely a week ago that we went.Parking: Not sure where you park yourself. We pulled in and the valet parking attendant was at our door. When we left he ran across the street to the bank parking lot and got my car. He was very courteous.

The food was so so good! We really enjoyed it. However, the service needs some adjustments. First they sat us against the wall when the entire restaurant had two tables taken. Then halfway through our meal they sat someone right next to us. The host never even made eye contact with us. The waitress was a lot. We specifically said we wanted to take it slow and not rush through the meal. She asked us a 1000 times if it was good and if we were ready for the next part. The bartender was good, but they didn’t have some of the bourbon advertised. We told them it was our anniversary and they didn’t acknowledge it at all. We really liked the food, but was disappointed in the person-ability of the staff. For a $200+ meal we expected more.

This is a great place for a gourmet experience. The food is of the highest quality, and the flavors are wonderful. Everything we ordered came out beautifully. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. The staff were extremely professional and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant anytime you feel like splurging.

Very upscale dining. Food was wonderful. Specialty bar drinks were good, but a standard lemon drop martini was just so so.

Dined on Feb. 3, 2024 and had the experience below, sent the general manager an email on Feb. 5, 2024 and still no response from the restaurant, extremely disappointing. We tipped our waiter 20% despite the horrible experience but now I regret even doing that.Dear Mr. Morris,My best friend and I met in Birmingham, which is a halfway point for both of us to celebrate her birthday for the weekend. I spent a great deal of time reviewing restaurants and menus to select a restaurant with excellent reviews and an enticing menu and booked a reservation at Galley & Garden. As we went to enter the restaurant, there were several fast food bags on the stairs as we walked up. Once seated, we ordered the pimento cheese fritters. When they came out, they were cold in the middle so I asked the waiter if they were meant to be cold in the middle, he said they were not so he sent them back and gave us a new batch that was much better. We then ordered dinner and my friend ordered the beet and goat cheese salad with chicken for her birthday meal and I ordered the scallops. The waiter brought our meals and my friend took one bite and said, this is the wrong salad. He had brought her the apple and blue cheese salad. We tried to get the attention of someone so we could get the correct salad quickly and enjoy our meal together, however, no one even came by. By the time we got the attention of the waiter and got the correct salad, I was almost finished with my meal since it was getting cold. We decided to pass on dessert since we were so disappointed and the waiter brought the bill. We were a bit shocked that he did not apologize for the experience or even offer to comp our appetizer. As we left the restaurant, a homeless person was sitting on the restaurant steps eating McDonalds. Our special birthday dinner at Galley and Garden was an extreme disappointment and I thought you should be aware so that the service can be improved. I will say that my scallops were delicious and the restaurant itself is beautiful, however, it was hard to enjoy the evening with the disappointing service.Thank you,

The service is incredible it alone is 5 stars and their charcuterie board was lovely but the grilled chicken lacked flavor the broccoli was very clearly frozen and the rice was very lovely flavorful and their apple gorgonzola salad was well balanced and delightful but again the chicken was a little disappointing the salmon was delicate and buttery but need a little more flavor the passion fruit sorbet with poached pear was incredible it was recommended by our server and he did not disappoint overall a very good experience for my girlfriend and I's one year anniversary would recommend

I had the NY Strip special it had great flavor but unfortunately it was severely overcooked along with a free other people at my table. None of the steaks were ordered medium rare and medium but all arrived severely medium and medium well. The private room we were in was spectacular however, great ambiance!

I was here tonight for an event in the private party room upstairs. The staff was beyond amazing and very professional yet personable. The food was beyond amazing! My short ribs were so flavorful and basically melted in my mouth. 10/10 ?

The food here is always thoughtful, elegant, and satisfying. Try the pimento fritters. Try the pork belly. Try the coq au vin. The pork chop is lovely.Service is understated and unobtrusive, timely, and we'll structured. The bar is cute, marble and blue leather and fun cocktails. The Acorn is unique and very satisfying. If you haven't been, go. If you haven't been in a while, go. If you have been recently, go again and ask for Abigail.

Got the opportunity to come for a work function, and after seeing the reviews, I was very excited. They have a valet available and street parking was also an option. Arriving at 5pm allowed for easy parking on a side street. The service was amazing, and the ambiance was also top notch! We tried multiple appetizers like the crispy Brussel sprouts, fried green tomatoes, and corn meal oysters. All wonderful! My steak was cooked exactly as ordered. Overall, this place was so impressive and I will definitely be going back!

Starter and desert delicious. However the main course which was salmon, rice and broccoli was disappointing. Very basic, nothing interesting. I could do better at home. Was hoping for something more ambitious including presentation.

Had an amazing dinner on Christmas Eve Eve while visiting Birmingham. The service was spectacular and all the staff were awesome. The food was incredible and the drinks were delicious. Also enjoyed all the wonderful conversations we had with the super friendly staff. The restaurant is absolutely stunning. The fried green tomatoes and the banana pudding are a must order. Can't wait to visit again.!
