Went here for my birthday dinner and was SO excited to finally try the place. The food was pretty good, but the service and table placement sorta ruined the experience. Service was super slow…had to get the waitress’s attention multiple times, and we could see the staff standing and talking to each other while we waited for them. The worst part though was that we were seated directly by a trash can, a dirty rag, and an empty soda can? It was so distracting. I had to lean back to snap this photo, I was seated right by it.

This is a staple for us- we have been served by Amy and Plamen several times and every time we have a fantastic experience- the food, ambience, and service always exceeds expectations and we look forward to many more date nights and celebrations at this local treasure!

Wonderful meal in the wine bar. Not as noisy and crowded as the main dining room. Food was wonderful. The wine selection was extensive. The service was on point.

We love this restaurant...tonight we received the worst menu and service EVER! Menu was not accurate to what was actually serviced. Service was sub par...not to standard normally provided by restaurant. Very disappointed with experience.

Shared a Valentines meal with another couple. Was reminded of the things we all appreciate at GM. The unique atmosphere & outstanding food. The service this night, however, was exceptional. Laurin was our server & despite a full house, was both patient & on top of special requests. Well done!Dietary restrictions: Laurin did a great job helping us navigate the best options.

Second favorite place in Birmingham besides Ches Fonfon. Awesome steak and their specials are always really, really good. Best Mac n cheese on earth. Waitstaff is impeccable

Best chicken parmigiana I've ever had. Very unique sauce. Fried cheese app was delicious. Smaller dining room that had a great atmosphere. Nice bar area as well.

A true Birmingham classic. The food is great, and the atmosphere is nice, smallish & slightly crowded, but not in a bad way. It is quite expensive, and you'll need a reservation. There is a wine bar in the back that occasionally has space for walk-ins.

Beef cheeks, you saw it right, beef cheeks! If you’re going make this dish, you know what you’re doing! Super cool hidden gem of Birmingham. Very Italian feel, close tables, loud, incredible service, and amazing food. Bombolini, veal chop parmesan, and the beef cheeks were out of this world!

We had a 7pm reservation for our anniversary and were promptly seated, service was appropriately timed and thorough. We started with drinks and both are tasty and strong. Appetizers were great, the burrata was hands down our favorite dish of the night. The honey and bresaola were amazing complements to the cheese. The oysters and my husband's veal Parmesan were good and tasty, as was my grouper. My server asked if I wanted to swap out the potatoes that came with it since I swapped the marinara sauce for lemon butter but I was really excited for potatoes. When the entrees came out and she saw my plate, she immediately asked me if there were enough potatoes and offered to get me an extra side. And you can't go wrong with tiramisu, also very tasty! Service and food were top notch. Good vibes on a Tuesday night, decently crowded but not crazy loud or anything. 10/10 worth the hype and would recommend you go try it for yourself!
