The experience was not great. The best thing was the pesto sauce in itself that came with the appetizer. We ordered cheesy garlic bread with pesto, chicken pasta and margarita pizza. The app was good in the whole thing. Everything else lacked the flavors and taste. Pizza base was soggy and not exciting, it had very little sauce on it and lacked flavors overall. The pasta was a creamy Alfredo with chicken and it was just full of cream to cover for lack of flavors. Overall the food was nothing great and atmosphere wasn’t as great as well. and the prices seemed to be higher and the taste of the food did not justice. Didn’t enjoy the experience.

Grand Ticino was an average experience at best. The service was fair but definitely not attentive. The food was relatively bland but priced at a premium. For instance, my wife had a chicken sandwich which had a great fry on the chicken but otherwise was dry and completely flavorless, it also was supposed to be served on focaccia but was on some other type of bun. Another in our party had the pasta with salmon which was relatively flavorless. I had the chicken parmigiana which was decent but the pasta sauce was unique in that it seemed to have sausage and maybe short ribs as the meat. The food is definitely priced at a premium but is very basic and lacking in quality. We likely will not return.

I highly recommend Grand Ticino. We had a party of 12, and the entire staff was very nice and accommodating. We had a wonderful time celebrating a family birthday!

The food we ordered was very low quality. The Pasta with Sunday sauce had one small piece of meat in it and very little flavor, another linguini dish was overcooked and basic. Everything was disappointing.

Food is was always good here for lunch. Been a big fan of Amore for that past 12 years. However the people that check you out are so unfriendly and rude! Everytime we came they were always cold and snobby. I stopped by to pick up meatballs and salad dressing. I don't tip for putting food in a bag. The girl seemed really annoyed seeing I put a line through the tip. Then to top it off the salad dressing was over a week old and meatballs 5 days old. Meatballs were gross! Not Amore standered. Will not return!

I can't say that I recommend this restaurant. The service was below average. The food wasn't great and neither was the menu choices. This was my first and my last visit to this restaurant. There are so many restaurants in Birmingham that are much better.

Great small local Italian restuarant. Our First time, we were seated immediately, food was delicious and Landon did a great job as a personable and attentive waiter. I had the chicken piccata and hubs had shrimp and grits and they were both excellent. One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a while. The menu was a manageable size with a good selection but not overwhelming. The Piccata sauce was rich and lemony definitely worth sopping it up with the garlic bread!

Not the same restaurant for the last year. Service is not great. Orders come out in wrong order(appetizer after entree), removed two favorite items off menu (meatball/rice appetizer and chocolate dessert). Continuously run out of drink.
