The flavors & service were fantastic, for drinks and food. Our only disappointment was duck's chewiness, which detracted from the harmony of its delicious sear and sauce.

The absolute most miserable experience I have ever had at a restaurant! I booked the restaurant 1 week before. Outside seating. Plans to celebrate my wife’s birthday with my 2 adult sons. I received multiple texts day before and day of reservation to confirm and that my reservation may be given to someone else if I didn’t confirm. Seriously ? Arrived on time at 7pm. Seated. Waitress came by after a while and took drink orders. Chef Hastings came by and spoke to us and asked if we were celebrating anything. I told him my wife’s birthday and he spoke about his mother’s birthday around the same time and something about being a Cancer. Waitress cane back and we placed all of our orders. 1 hour 15 minutes go by before the appetizers cane out. 1hr and 15 minutes! People came after us and were seated, fed, and left by the time we got our appetizers. 45 minutes later and we still didn’t have our entrees. It’s now after 9 pm. The entire outside dining area was emptied and we were the only people outside except people using outside tables from Jeni’s ice cream across the parking lot. The waitress barely even checked on us. She finally came out and I asked her if we were forgotten about and she said yes! She said our meals would come out soon. I refused my entree bit the rest of my family wanted theirs. We asked to be moved inside but they said they would have to check. 10 minutes later the food comes out to our outside table. 10 minutes after my family were eating their meal the waitress comes out and offers a table inside! This is a restaurant that has a Michelin 2025 sign on their front door! The waitress offered a free dessert for our inconvenience. We declined. Paid bill and left $10 on a $350 bill. I usually tip 20% and would have for this waitress even though the wait was ridiculous. In this case she was complicit because she avoided us and neglected us for over an hour. Unacceptable at any restaurant. She also told us that they prioritized the walk in customers over the reservation customers. Never again for me! Worst dining experience ever!

Food was perfectly prepared, fresh and delicious. We went with appetizers, entrees and dessert. Why not? All so good.

I’m in Birmingham on business and someone mentioned I try this place. So glad they did. The atmosphere is so cool! Food was even better. Of course, and as usual, I forgot to take pictures of all the food. Trust me, it was as beautiful as it tasted. Must try the tomato salad! Thank you to the lady on the plane that suggested Hot and Hot Fish Club.

## Review: Hot and Hot Fish Club (Birmingham, AL)
Here is a polished, cohesive review based on your dining experience:
### **An Exceptional Seafood Experience**
**Overall Rating:** ★★★★★
Hot and Hot Fish Club continues to deliver as a premier dining destination, and our recent visit highlighted exactly why their seafood reputation is so well-deserved.
* **The Grouper:** Astacia had the Grouper and was absolutely delighted. The fish itself was cooked to absolute perfection. What really made the dish stand out, though, was the thoughtful accompaniment—the pairing of rich avocado, sharp onions, and vibrant, fresh tomatoes elevated the plate and balanced the flavors beautifully.
* **The Red Snapper:** I opted for the Red Snapper, which was equally spectacular. While the snapper was rightfully the star of the show, the true surprise was the broth. It tied the entire dish together, bringing a depth of flavor that elevated the fish to a whole new level.
From perfectly executed seafood to masterfully crafted components, both dishes showcased incredible balance and culinary skill. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an upscale, flavor-forward meal!

I sat at the chef‘s table and it was such an amazing experience! I made a reservation when they first opened at 5 PM, so I didn’t have any issues with wait times. Nate was my waiter, and he was so kind and helpful. For my appetizer, I had a half dozen oysters, and for dinner I had the pork tomahawk. I also had the winter spritz cocktail. Everything was absolutely amazing and I truly enjoyed my experience! Everyone was so kind and welcoming! Five stars for them!

This place is awesome if you want an incredible meal that you won’t soon forget, I’ve been here many times over the last 25 years and every time I can’t wait to return, Chris Hastings deserves every award he has ever received and more

I fell in love with H&H in my 30's for the parmesan asparagus, chocolate martinis and high energy. Decades later, the ebb & flow of new menu items is a testament to the artistry performed in this kitchen.
