The food was unseasoned. We got the steak frites and salmon dish. A bug landed in my husband's dish and we had to swat flies away throughout our meal. There was no background music, making the experience awkward and uncomfortable. The staff was kind, however they seem undertrained. For example, when we called to reschedule our reservation 30 minutes earlier, there was a silence for about a minute over the phone prior to the staff stating what she doing. Our waitress was unable to adequately describe the flavor profiles of the dishes. Very overpriced for the quality of food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ironwood Kitchen and Cocktails for a business dinner, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! Our server, Tiara, was absolutely fantastic—her warm demeanor and attentive service made us feel right at home.
To start, we indulged in the Brussels sprouts and hanger bacon as appetizers, and they were nothing short of spectacular. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly roasted, with a delightful crispiness that complemented the rich flavors beautifully. The hanger bacon was a revelation—smoky, savory, and utterly delicious. I could have made a meal out of just those two dishes!
For my main course, I opted for the pork chop, and it was truly the highlight of the evening. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy and flavorful, with a delightful seasoning that elevated the dish to new heights. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail.
The ambiance of Ironwood Kitchen and Cocktails added to the overall experience, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that was perfect for our business discussions. I left feeling satisfied and impressed, not only with the food but also with the impeccable service provided by Tiara.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy a delicious meal with outstanding service, I highly recommend Ironwood Kitchen and Cocktails. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience!

The food was amazing. We started with hanger bacon and brussel sprouts which were both to die for. I had the pork chop and it was tender, juicy and full of flavor. Overall 5/5 experience.
The ambience was good. The patio area had a lot of mosquitos so prepare for that. There's no coasters so our table was full of water from our drinks sweating. The table light was not charged. The waiter kept trying to take our food and drinks before we finished. The bread and bacon was good from the appetizers. The drinks were really good. The salmon was not seasoned at all. The steak fritters were good but cold. The bison was terrible. Lamb lollipops were good and juicy. The manager walked around and asking how we like our meal and I discussed the things above with her. She said thank you and walked away.
I wanted to love this restaurant because the hotel is great, but my coworkers and I didn't really like it. Some of the food was delicious (corn & cheddar fritters were awesome) but some wasn't that great. The steak tasted like it was grass-fed and old, so it went a little fishy. The service was also quite slow, we were there for lunch for about 2 hours.
The pork ribeye. 🤤

My husband and I enjoyed brunch here this past weekend. And as a bonus, I had this exchange with the hostess. As we were leaving the hostess said she liked my dress. Then she said Trey… I said Taylor! She told me they had a large Trey Taylor behind the front desk. And here it is. How cool is that?

We went to the restaurant for the first time yesterday. It was planned to be a special date night for me and my husband while watching the fireworks. While the restaurant had a nice appearance, our food and service was not good. We had the special, pulled pork. We saw and smelled the smoker going but the meat tasted as if it was prepared in an oven. I ordered fries to go with our meal and the food was not timed so it can come out together. The fries came out way later. Our waitress took 20 minutes to come and greet us and even to bring water. When she first came up to us she asked if we were waiting on her and said sorry we have been busy. The service she provided was very odd. We decided to leave. We left a tip of 20% for the waitress but was very unhappy with the service and food.

The food was exquisite. My steak and my husband's braised bison were cooked to perfection. The appetizers were delicious. The drinks were pretty good as well. The service from our waiter was outstanding. He took very good care of us. The only complaint came from desserts. They didn't quite come up to par with the rest of the meal, and it took forever to come out. Otherwise, I give this restaurant a 4.5. Amazing!

The ambiance at Ironwood Kitchen & Cocktails is absolutely stunning — warm, romantic, and well-designed which is why I gave the atmosphere 5 stars and overall 2 stars. Unfortunately, the service and food did not live up to the setting. It took an hour to receive our food after ordering, and when it arrived, my husband’s steak was cold in the center and undercooked (he ordered medium well and was served medium rare). After sending it back, it took another 15 minutes to get a corrected plate. Our server was sweet, but overall inattentive — our food had apparently been sitting ready in the kitchen while we waited. My Caesar salad was overwhelmed by the anchovies, which completely threw off the flavor. The lamb chops were the one highlight of the night. It was my husband’s 32nd bday and we wanted to try something new together and this just missed the mark for us. We traveled 2 hours out and had to stop and get Whataburger on the way home. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Fantastic service and excellent food at the Ironwood on Friday morning. Rosie was an excellent server and my breakfast sandwich was outstanding!

Awful food. Seafood is not fresh. Overpriced. Much better options in Birmingham. Poor service. Flies everywhere.
Service was extremely slow and food wasn’t great either. Would not recommend wasting your hard earned money on this bad experience.
