I can't remember the last time I had a bad meal at Johnny Ray's BBQ - Colonade I know it's gone through several different owners over the years, but it's always consistent. This may be the best group! I made myself order something new and allow the our server to give us her favorite items. We had the famous hand breaded opinion rings - Perfectly Prepared & Cooked. We also let the server talks in to trying the Wisconsin Cheese Curd. I'm not sure I would ever tried anything with name " Curd" - But it's similar to fired Buffalo Mozzarella Cheese. We ordered Old Fashion Cheese Burgers for the main event. They did not disappoint! Dressed and Cooked perfectly medium rare and very lean. Others had the Johnny Ray's famous Pie, I was just too full. Anyone knows they have some of the best pie anywhere. I get the whole pies for Thanksgiving & Christmas Parties. I'll be back sooner than later

Have been eating at this location since 1991. I now eat here about once a year when in town. Not as good as I remember from back then but still delicious. I had the open face pork with onion rings. Good service too!

Descent food. The chicken wasn't hot. The pie was great, the sweet tea is not outstanding but it's better than most. Christina gave very good service.

I haven't had Johnny Ray's in about 27 years. It is still as good today as it was when I was in college. I have now turned my northern husband onto it and he loved it. Long Live Johnny Ray's!!!!!

Great barbecue pork, I love the sauce, very good sides (fried okra!) and great pies! I love the cocoanut cream pie. When I visit Birmingham, I often visit Johnny Rays!

I got 3 things a loaded potatoes at pull pork sandwich jumbo and jumbo bacon cheese fries which cost me $19 and change. it all was very good just overpriced.

Great BBQ and sides! I usually have food delivered via Uber Eats. Food is always plentiful and exactly what I ordered. I always get 2 meals, sometimes 3, from their meat and 3 sides. The chocolate pie is to die for! Delicious food on everything!

Love love love the chocolate pie. We use to have a Johnny Ray's in Northport but it has been closed for a better of ten years. So when I am in the area I try and stop in. I called the other day to reserve a whole pie. The lady was supper nice and helpful. They said their up front cooler was broken, she hid one for me in the back.

I love the last Johnny Ray's on the planet and eat there whenever my travels take me by. Food was outstanding as usual and their BBQ sauce is the best. My server, Christina is awesome. Very attentive and she made feel at home. Whatever you do, please don't close down my favorite BBQ house. There's none better!
