I used to love this place. Then I went with my autistic daughter who is in the spectrum on a Tuesday. She is supper smart, honor student and military dependent. It was her first time there. It was empty. The DJ was great to her, he actually walked up to her, and asked her questions about what songs she wanted. My daughter is honest, and on her third song she called someone stupid, and it was because…the person was negative, she didn’t sing the song to this persons liking, and they were looking at her..like, you can’t sing! This young woman, a bartender, walked up to me and asked me if that was my daughter, “She can’t do that, she will be kicked out for that”, she stated. Not only have I been there on a Thursday, where drunk people walk and stumble into you in the bathroom line, the pee all over the bathroom floors, people scream at the TV because their game is winning….none of these people are told, “you can’t do that”. But I am told this, on a Tuesday, when there is literally only about 10 people in there. I have Stage IV Breast/Bone Cancer, I was just told that I have 2 years to live by Brookwood Hospital, now I am in O’Neil at UAB, and my 21 year old is HAPPY, singing a song, and someone looks at her weirdly, Because she can’t sing good enough for them? My daughter calls them out, and you get pissy? GET OVER YOUR HIGH HORSE. Don’t come to me about something SO MINIMAL. And to think that I made my daughter walk to this bartender to…..APOLOGIZE. My daughter is the girl who was pushing me in a wheel chair a few months ago when I could not walk because of my cancer lesions on my right leg. She HAS MORE HEART than YOU will EVER KNOW. She was born in Oahu, Hawaii, her father is a Retired K-9 Dog Handler who fought for his life in Iraq.
No one was bothered….but this little entitled little girl whining like it was the end of the damn world. Are you kidding me? I even apologized to this bartender myself. Why? Because we are a GOOD FAMILY.
I told my daughter, “I am so proud of you, you sang, 3 songs, and it was your first time there, and I can’t even muster to sing one song, you are a warrior, and brave young girl. To hell with anyone who doesn’t like how you sing a song.
Karaoke is for EVERYONE, not only…for those who can, “sing like a star”. How dare YOU judge ANYONE, or give someone who is up there, being brave, a dirty look.
You get what you get, and you don’t have a fit. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. I have seen people doing worse, and I keep my mouth shut. What a meddling little child. Get a damn life. Let others live.
Unless they are killing someone! Or in a physical fight!
Let them BE.
Excellent bar! The bartenders were great and very friendly. We will return when we're back in town.
My friends and I were out celebrating a recent engagement. We were about 20 deep, mixed group, white, black, Asian. They profiled my friend because the door man said “we don’t need anymore of them inside”. We round up and left. This was Saturday 5/3
Played zero country music. Was told its a country bar. Everything on the walls is country music related. Just didn't play any country.
The security guards are allowing old men to pray on drunk women
This place was so much fun! Me and my friend stopped by on a Wednesday night. We tried one other bar but found ourselves back at Neon Moon until closing. Cam and Kjay were awesome!! Kjay gave me a Vegas Bomb instead of the jager bomb I asked for. He let me know and apologize but I ended up making it the drink I drank for the rest of the night. It was tasted amazing!!! 🤤 This place definitely deserves 5 stars!!
Be sure to close your tab before you leave. Was here last night, had 6 drinks between me and a friend, and found a charge for $109 on my card this morning. I can understand a 20% gratuity but these people straight robbed me.
Very cool, fun place!

There's no food: just drinks and a vending machine. It's a good spot for late night dancing with a nice outside area. DJ was extremely hit or miss, moreso miss than hit.

So not only do you have to wait quite some time to utilize one of two restrooms on a busy night, you might get berated by a bouncer who gets locked out. Dude literally hit the fence behind me yelling, that if I didn’t let him in, he would kick me out. I couldn’t see him thru the fence, so I told him to walk around to the main entrance. I don’t let random people into a crowded bar, but this place condones it, drink at your own risk.

Adding a fee for “party size” when you have no idea how many are in the party is shady. Also the bathroom line is way too long when crowded.
This place was packed when I visited, the energy was good and even the staff seemed to enjoy the ambiance. I feel like the staff at a lot of places this busy look miserable but everyone was nice and were on good vibes. The crowd wasn’t my type but still had fun.

My friends and I were out for my birthday and parked in the paid lot. The paid lot leads to the back entrance, so we walked in there as the lot leads to the door and there was no sign saying not to enter (put up a sign if it’s a problem). The bar was empty and the bartender ran out to approach us saying we could have gotten shot going through that door. No hello, nothing. It was a very rude welcome and we said we didn’t see a sign and were just very confused. He made us feel unwelcome and unsafe. I will never be back to this establishment.
Fun place, especially on Thursday’s, it’s a total scene!
