The Birmingham location is large and spacious and we fit right in with our double stroller! The server was very nice and accommodating. The food, as usual, was amazing. We went with the crab wontons, vip roll, the Jailhouse Roll, and the British Invasion roll. We also had the steak hibachi. The crab wontons are a must in case you ever question whether they will be good; perfectly crispy, delicious filling and the spicy Mayo compliments them very well. The only thing we have not been liking is the ginger salad. The dressing could use some work but if you like soup it’s a good alternative.

Decided to bake my sushi instead of fry it; it still was perfectly crispy and full of all the flavors you'd expect. Ordered hibachi as my main dish, obviously I couldn't finish much of this!!

i have always been a huge fan of rock n roll sushi, but the past couple of times ive gone, the doors have still been locked past time for them to be open. if u guys could write a note on the door next time or something so i am prepared for disappointment that’d be so slayful. thank

I really want to like this place, but I just have had better experiences at the Rock N Roll Sushi locations in Hoover and Downtown Birmingham. I came here last night with friends. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll. It was not as good as it sounded, it was actually pretty plain. I won't be ordering it again. I tried some of my boyfriend's Jailhouse roll and yellowtail nigiri. They were both much better and likely what I will stick with.

I used to go for the Hibachi Steak, as their sushi is C- grade. Their staff that rolls can't be bothered to put forth effort to even add sesame to their sushi rice, much less roll a tight roll. Don't waste your time on the sushi. Went 4x and had a great experience, except for the pretentious gentleman that hovers around, while seemingly doing very little with the amount of movement he makes. Today there was a roach larvae in my beer, you know, the little ones, poor bug drank itself to death. Keep in mind this was visible on the Head of the beer. The pretentious gentleman didn't even think, just said "Sorry", and gave me another beer... This is not how that issue should have been handled. Nevermind that the people that are rolling your sushi up have an "Overhang", that flows onto the prep table... there was an insect in my beer... I will never go back. I can only imagine the condition of the kitchen... 2023.6.6

Rock N Roll Sushi is definitely one of my fave sushi places because of their convenient locations. I have two within 10 minutes of me! This place was the first place I had sushi in Birmingham and I would consider it my old reliable. The staff is very friendly and when I went in there was no crowd at all.Pictured is the crunchy crab roll which was very tasty. The roll kind of fell apart when I was picking it up and the crunchies have no taste but that crab?? Delicious. I would definitely get this again. There are so many options to choose from that range from $10-$16+. This roll was around $7.90 on the website and came out to $9.99 with added taxes and gratuity (20% added to all to go orders!!). Overall I felt like it was worth it though. I'll definitely be back.

This is how we ROLL. My wife & I came here for lunch a few days ago. Lots of our usual neighborhood favs are closed on Monday, but thankfully Rock n Roll Sushi isn't. It's been a minute since we've been here & I forgot how much I enjoy it.We had the Jam Sesh Roll featuring yellowtail tuna & spicy mayo inside, red tuna & crab stick outside, topped with eel sauce & sesame seeds (86 sweet chili sauce). I enjoyed it. My "sushi palette" recently expanded after trying raw tuna/salmon & discovering how delicious it is! Would def order this again.We also shared the Headbanger Shrimp appetizer. Shrimp fried to a golden crunch drizzled with the signature spicy-sweet- creamy headbanger sauce & sprinkled with sesame seeds. The size & freshness of the shrimp surprised me...in a good way! I was impressed. The sauce is also really tasty.We also shared one of the lunch specials, the Chicken Bowl. Hibachi style chicken, rice & veggies. Delicious, plenty to share & a great price (around $10).Service was helpful & friendly. I really enjoy the restaurant's vibe. Pretty cool atmosphere. I see nobody has rated this location for a LONG time!! ? We stumbled upon this hidden gem & so glad we did. Lots of sushi for adults and a good kid’s meal too! Service has been amazing!! The appetizer sampler which is a Sunday special was delicious and a good portion. We ordered apple sake and I was sold on “can take it home if you don’t finish.”
