Rojo never fails to be AMAZING!! Tonight, I did a bacon cheeseburger (taking a break from my favorite - chicken/shrimp paella). The burger was amazing and I’m generally a burger snob! Love this place, the food, and the vibe!!
Rojo is a staple in the area and I can’t imagine Birmingham without it! Tucked in beautiful Highland Park this gem is a must stop for the local atmosphere and diverse eats. Many gluten free/vegan options, dine in or to go… stuck at home? DoorDash it!!! You have to try the David’s Quesadilla, it’s a personal favorite. Great food, worth taking the time to find.Edit: came back while in town maybe we ordered the wrong thing but wasn’t as impressed this time as the times before. The service was wonderful though. Fast friendly and helpful.

Overall it was a typical dining experience. My wife got the bean burger, fries and a water, I got the fuego burger fries and a drink. 42 dollars seemed like a lot especially without having to tip. The fuego burger was good, the habanero sauce on the side is good, not too spicy at first but it creeps up on you. Both of are fries were really soggy.Vegetarian options: They have the Vegan beyond burger, and a black bean veggie burger.

My wife and I love this place. I love the food and the vibe. Today, we sat at the bar and had terrible service. The bartender, he never introduced himself, was rude and inattentive. I have been an F&B manager for over twenty years, regardless of whether you recognize a customer or not, everyone deserves good service. Your restaurant has great food, unfortunately I can no longer recommend your establishment.
