Our luch was terrible. My wife didnt get her protein with her meal and they only took $4 off my bill. On top of that he tried to give my food to someone else. This was their second chance and I wont go back.
I had high hopes for Sumo after Stix closed down; alas. I was very let down. While the hibachi performance itself was fun, the food fell flat. The ginger salad was the only truly edible thing that I had. The onion soup was so overpowering that it was inedible and the crab rangoon had more onion than anything else, it was awful. The soup broth reminded me of barely salted water, with absolutely no flavor. The rice was brown rice rather than fried white rice and it was hard to chew. All in all, the meal was a total let down. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Please go somewhere else.

Will never return. The food was ok but there was no service. The chef cooked the food and left. There was no interaction between the cook and guests and no refills of drinks. Our entire table waited for checks with nothing given to us. We then waited at the register desk for 10 minutes just to get a check. We will never return.

This was our first time and last time! The service was horrible!!!!!! Our food was cold the waiter was awful! The couple beside us got great service we couldn't get anything we ask for ! It was the worst experience ! I wouldn't recommend u go there it's obvious they don't care if u don't look like u can afford it

The service was good but everything else was terrible. All the food came out cold. There was a hair in one dish. They very clearly cooked parts of the meal separately and sat them to wait and it was not even busy. Portions were way too small for the price.

Food was ok, service was great. However the main problems I had were a 9$ up charge to share a plate (even though we didn’t want the extra food) and there were roaches and bugs on the floor. I notified management and they cleaned them up immediately but still. If there are bugs on the floor RIGHT after they open then did they even wipe the tables down or anything before hand?

Sumo is such a good Japanese steak house! the fried rice here is amazing definitely enjoyed my time here

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, STAY FAR AWAY!!! I went here last Friday night for the first time and had an atrocious experience. The quality of food was awful, for the price. I ordered the filet mignon and lobster tail, the lobster was rubbery because it was cooked to hell and filet they served was spoiled meat. I complained to my server and they brought another and it was spoiled as well. I started to feel sick and ran into the restroom and it was the worst restaurant restroom I’ve ever been in! There’s water and Pee every where and it smells disgusting soon as you walk in. I ended up throwing up all over the floor due to the smell and the spoiled steak. I spoke with the manager Mike and he essentially told me “what do you want me to do about it?” He sent some guy in with a dry mop to I guess clean it up with no cleaning supplies. I went back to speak with the manager, Mike and he still made us pay. I went back to the restroom because I’m still not feeling well and the weird manager Mike followed me into the restroom and into my stall and when I asked him why, he said he thought I “wanted to show him something in the restroom” like what does that even mean??? I felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation and when contacted corporate, I received no response. STAY AWAY FROM this establishment

Sumo is not the same. While once a favorite of my family because of its great food, locale, and cleanliness, this restaurant has gone downhill. The main issue are the cooks- they fast cook the food, thus the food is not good while also making the dining experience very rushed, all so they can rotate the tables quickly for the next group of customers. Food is half way cooked, barely seasoned, and not as great as it used to be. I've been a frequent customer, sometimes visiting multiple times a month and we'd be lucky to get a cook who actually knows how to cook. The restrooms are not cleaned either. We recommend going somewhere else because ow Sumo is just as worse as Stix.
