Tacos El Guero is a food truck that sits in a Shell gas station. The service is a bit slow and a bit impersonal, but the food more than makes up for it.I chose three tacos and the total was just a bit over nine dollars after these and all. I went with a campechano taco, an asada taco and a carnitas taco. The campechano taco was by far my favorite. The carnitas taco would probably get my second choice and then the asada taco. But do not misunderstand, they all were excellent tacos. They also had a few tables under a tent of you want to dine there. Not the biggest ambiance, but it works. Since it was a chilly night in December, I ended up eating my feast in my car. This is a solid choice if you are craving some good Mexican food.I would definitely recommend this Mexican food truck and they definitely earned my recommendation. I will give here five stars overall.

If you like heavy handed seasoning and 3 people telling you that you are wrong with your order ¿?¿? Look; I don’t care how much the food costs if it’s right. If you say no onion pir se my order from the board says raw onion and cilantro comes on asada. Omit onions- that wasn’t the worst of the error of ordering them without onionThe tacos had so much (onion) on it and cooked into the meat I will not return to this establishment and it says a lot since I love street tacos. We don’t do it that way is a far better answer than getting my entire order wrong.Uno asada; sour cream, onions (for my friend) lettuce, and cheese turned into trés asadaWe were missing a vital reason I chose this place; tré asada no onions were not put into the order checked 3 times. My throat is burning from the spices and I had to pick out raw and cooked onions once I convinced them I was missing parts to the meal. Well; that’s another $9 if it is correct I don’t mind the money for my greatest friend-

I ordered online through their website and when I arrived and showed the woman my order receipt she typed on her phone that they no longer use the online order and that they changed the prices. When I said I already payed for food she just continued to say no. She didn’t care at all that I had just lost money because of her

For my money, the best taco truck in Birmingham. Parked in the lot of the Shell gas station, and they now have a pavilion with picnic tables for those who might want to eat there! My favorites are the chorizo, pastor, and lengua tacos. Both red and green salsas are excellent, and the double tortilla on each taco is welcome to help contain the generous filling. For those who don't like cilantro, however, be prepared to pick it off; my requests for no cilantro seem to never make their way to the appropriate person. Don't mind a little extra work on my part, though, to enjoy this outstanding street food.Parking: There are a handful of spots both next to the truck and on the far side of the lot

A coworker told me this place had the best street tacos so I grabbed one while I was stopped for gas. (Yes, they're parked in a gas station on 280.) The asada taco, WOW, big flavor and fresh. Beautifully seared and juicy steak, fresh tomato and onion mix, and lots of cilantro. Squeeze a little lime for brightness and a pop of citrus. It was fabulous!

I'm not going to lie - I'm a persnickety person when it comes to tacos (yes, I just posted one about Taco Bell, but that's besides the point)...This place is a TRUE taco truck. The tacos are amazing and they even have huarachos (translated to shoes) which is quite rare, especially in Birmingham and off the 280...I've head nearly all of their tacos from them and they are all great. Plus, after just 2 visits, they already remember me and what I like...Service: +5Food: +5Execution: +5Overall: +10 (because 5 just wasn't enough)

I used to like this taco truck but now the food isn't that great and way to salty.. the worst part is I found a bug in the campechano tacos mixed in with the meat. I figured i should let others know just Incase your thinking about going here.

Great authentic Mexican.Reminds me of LA. Better then 90% of other Mexican food near Birmingham. Highly recommended and reasonably priced.
