This place has gone so far downhill. That was the most bland and wateriest gumbo I’ve ever had. I would go elsewhere for that price.
Edit - went back and tried the west indies salad. They used canned crab meat, you can easily tell.. The service is good, but the food has gone downhill.

I have been to the Fish Market several illnesses abd it's always a delicious experience, our server was a lil absent because she was handling bar duties as well but overall another great lunch time meal . Busy but very comfortable. Reasonable for great food.i had the baked American oyster, and fried pickles, house salad, and blacken Salmon. It perfectly done, still moist and juicy, it was done medium. The pickles were good but as hot as they usually come, and was excellent, too. It was very professional, clean and everyone was pleasant and eager to assist each other.

Great variety of seafood available here, and a multitude of preparations. Service is always friendly and professional, and the fish and shellfish are always fresh. This place just gets better all the time.
Every time I come home I want to come both here and Bright Star. The food is great as well as the service and the Sarris family has earned every dime they make! My favorite is seasonal, the bbq shrimp and grits and the whole flounder is amazing.
Hit or miss...whiting fish have parasites...its black looking worms...be careful...bug was in my mother salad..which the manager did give her food free...sometimes the fish is fried fresh and sometimes rubbery..bake beans over cooked...the salmon Tuscan is sometimes oily and no taste..the first time I had it ..it was delicious....the waiters and waitress are rude....TRAIN THEM CORRECTLY....the last two times I wasted my money and time...
Not a big seafood eater. Started with a bowl of seafood gumbo, was so good. The seafood pasta Alfredo was very good and a very generous portion. Service was excellent and, ambience was very rustic. I was by myself so sat at the bar and had a great conversation with a doctor from UAB children's hospital.
The food was great Service was good . I had no complaints..But then I seen a bug which sadly affected the rest of my experience
Terrific broiled grouper sandwich.
Best darn seafood restaurant!!
The Lunch special menu gives you a mountain of food. Worth a trip from Atlanta just for this!
