Hit or miss...whiting fish have parasites...its black looking worms...be careful...bug was in my mother salad..which the manager did give her food free...sometimes the fish is fried fresh and sometimes rubbery..bake beans over cooked...the salmon Tuscan is sometimes oily and no taste..the first time I had it ..it was delicious....the waiters and waitress are rude....TRAIN THEM CORRECTLY....the last two times I wasted my money and time...
Not a big seafood eater. Started with a bowl of seafood gumbo, was so good. The seafood pasta Alfredo was very good and a very generous portion. Service was excellent and, ambience was very rustic. I was by myself so sat at the bar and had a great conversation with a doctor from UAB children's hospital.
The food was great Service was good . I had no complaints..But then I seen a bug which sadly affected the rest of my experience
Terrific broiled grouper sandwich.
Best darn seafood restaurant!!
The Lunch special menu gives you a mountain of food. Worth a trip from Atlanta just for this!

Great overall experience! Our server, Apollo was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable about the menu options, friendly, and quick. We ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were fried to perfection but there was no seasoning in the batter. The Fried Green Tomatoes was served with ranch. I ordered the Seafood Au Gratin with a Greek salad (yes, add feta). The salad is served in the place of two sides. This meal waw really good. Very rich in flavor. I tasted shrimp and fish with the cheese in the dish. There was also rice in the dish. Of course I had leftovers. My boyfriend ordered fried Snapper with a side of french fries and extra hushpuppies. Lets talk about the hush puppies! They are delicious! Seasoned well and fried well. The fish was seasoned well. Overall good experience. Our server made it the best!

We're back! For an appetizer we tried the Baked Spankopita oysters (spinach and feta). For entrees we had the grilled whole sea bass with a Greek salad (add feta) and hushpuppies. This time My boyfriend ordered the VIP Snapper (grilled fish with onions, tomatoes and potatoes) with fries and hushpuppies. Yep... extra hush puppies! Great dinner tonight too!

The Oysters Dino is a great appetizer! The flavors pair well together! The Tuscan Salmon is also very tasty!

While visiting family in Birmingham we had lunch at this restaurant. Old school fish market in a warehouse type setting ... casual, super friendly and wonderful food! Service was outstanding. We had snapper over rice with capers, tomatoes, gr onions - fried oysters, flounder almondine, and yummy sides. Freshly made clam chowder. Definitely recommend 👌

Usually, my husband and I love eating at the Fish Market. Usually the food is very good and tasty. My last lunch purchase was awful. I don’t eat very much so often we share one meal. Tuesday, December 31, 2024, I ordered us lunch to go; my husband wanted to try their gator tail. I ordered Greek potatoes and fried okra and an extra item of John slaw. This was our first and last time ordering the gator tail. The were tough and chewy. We had to throw them away because we couldn’t chew them.

Good service every time I go.
It's the best fish market in Alabama. Being from Central America and eating fish alk my life, I know what fresh delicious fish tastes like. And it's called George's Fish Market. ;)
