Fried chicken on lunch buffet at 1:00p.m. was as good as anywhere. Spouse says turnip greens have little bits of turnip in them, making them unique. You can eat buffet or order off menu. Eating buffet included dessert choices and still made this the cheapest meal on our vacation.Parking: Free parking in front of small strip mall and restaurant.
This place is a hidden gem! Yes, at times the service is a little slow and the place isn't fancy, but it has always been clean. The staff are always friendly and ready to serve! My husband and I eat out a lot and the food and prices at the Iron Skillet can't be beat. They have a daily all you can at lunch buffet of veggies and meats for a very low price. I love the AMAZING salad bar as a side and homemade onion rings! How could anyone choose fast food over this treasure?

Food is basic home cooking. Slower service than a lot of places but that lends itself to the ambiance of sitting around someone's kitchen table and relaxing with comfort food and conversation- a much needed return to slower times, in my opinion
