“It's a one-stop-shop. The food is literally southern homestyle. It's located inside what looks like a red barn. There's a pharmacy (order with pharmacy) located inside the same space. There's a connecting internal & an exterior entrance to a feed/hardware store. Great daily specials & regular menu items. Close-knit community, everyone's very friendly. “Stopped here on our way back to Georgia from Florida on 10/18. Ordered two donuts and two iced coffees and it was delicious. Loved the brown sugar cinnamon oatmilk espresso shaker maple bacon donut. My son enjoyed the pink strawberry sprinkle donut. Can’t remember what my husband ordered but he enjoyed it too. Bathroom was also very clean. We will definitely stop here again. We usually stop at the Dunkin around the counter but decided to give this place a try and we didn’t regret it. The barista was very friendly as well.”

“After seeing all the recent negative reviews of this restaurant, I wanted to give my own review as someone who's been coming here for years.

Panda is one of the better Chinese restaurants that I've been to, and my favorite one in Dothan. The food's typically always good, and I've never gotten sick from any of it. There are occasions where the egg rolls will be a little too greasy for my taste, hence the four stars, but apart from that it's usually really good. I particularly like the panda combo, with the pepper steak and chicken with broccoli. And when the egg rolls are not greasy, they're probably the best I've had from a Chinese takeout place. Both the fried and steamed dumplings are just doughy enough to not be too much, but still substantial and tasty at the same time.

As for the staff--which seems to be one of the biggest grievances people have--the woman who works the register has always been nice to me. Sure, she's not the friendliest person I've ever met, but then I'm not there on a social call. She's polite enough and always asks if I need sauce or anything else with my order.

As for the atmosphere of the place, I guess that would probably be its weakest point, but I view it as particularly a takeout restaurant anyway so it doesn't bother me. Admittedly, it's strange how they still follow the covid protocols for safety, years after the pandemic, but again, it's not really a big deal and obviously doesn't hurt the food.

So, in short, I find panda to be an above-average takeout Chinese restaurant, and I wish we had a place like that in Tuscaloosa, to be honest. I miss this place when I'm up there. I put it right there with Jin Jin and Dragon Garden in Enterprise (two other great takeout places, especially Jin Jin).

Nevertheless, my tone wasn't very nice but it did not detour Nathan from being nice to me. He made everything better. Again, I apologize for my tone.
