I'll start with the good things, the Sweat Tea Brined Pork Chop I ordered was great! It was a big portion size and one of the thickest pork chops I've ever had. The restaurant is nice and that's where the good stops. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. We got our drinks right away but 35 minutes later we finally got the Pimento dip we ordered. Half the chips were stale and the bread did not seem fresh at all. Another 10 minutes go by and I get the salad I ordered,...
Stopped by for lunch on a Friday and found this place well run and organized. It is small but the chef was hard at work visible thru the window if you sit at the bar. Our bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable and mixes a delicious old fashion.
The service was quick and food presented well and tasted great. We had the seared salmon and chicken fried chicken. Both were cook perfectly.
Fully recommend visiting. I’ll definitely be going back.

I stopped by the National with some friends after they recommended it for brunch. I'm so torn writing this review. I find myself complimenting many aspects but having to give the whole truth takes away from the greatness of this hidden gem.
The atmosphere, seating and staff were all great but they did have a fly problem in the restaurant. They did go away after a while but it took away from the aura and experience. The staff checked up on us multiple times...
