I wasn’t even that hungry and to be honest didn’t have a lot of faith the smash burger would be all that. I’ve had my fair share and none have been really worth talking about. You know what I mean? Like not bad but not something you would go out of the way to have again. Man, I am glad I gave it a try. I got the classic with a side of their bbq sauce and parmesan fries. Food was excellent, servers were friendly as well.....But the kids play area/putt putt is not ideal because parents don't know how to control their children. It was exceptionally loud, not only with the kids yelling but they were also stomping and hitting their clubs on the wood platform which then echoes through the restaurant. Fat Al's Burger Joint Daphne is a casual, family-friendly spot with a fun atmosphere, including a little golf area for kids. The food is great, with highlights like the Mexican Street Corn Nuggets, which have plenty of flavor and a nice tangy kick, and the Classic Burger, a solid double smash burger with cheese, lettuce, pickles, and house-made burger sauce. The Tito's Cherry Bomb is amazing, and one visitor said the patty melt was the best ever. The place shares an indoor dining space with Grizzly Pizza & Wings next door, so you can order from either menu. The service is top tier, with welcoming staff and quick food. One reviewer had a terrible experience with a third party payment service, but the managers helped tremendously over several days, showing wonderful customer service with a smile. However, some issues were noted: kids were screaming in the putt putt station, a kid broke a window, and one visit was freezing cold, with food arriving ice cold due to the air being controlled for both sides. Despite this, many can't wait to go back.
