Oh WOW! I had the chicken and waffles, which I've never tried together before. The chicken was fried with a super light crispy batter and were tender and juicy and the waffles were lightly crunchy to bite then fluffy as air in the middle. I usually take a photo but with the warmed bacon onion jam and syrup on the side I was too busy stuffing my face lol! Will be back soon!
You know the food is probably good when the place is crowded at lunchtime.
I had been wanting to try this place for a while and I finally got the chance today.
It was really good food ,a fried pork chop and fixings. I plan to visit again.
Staff are so friendly! Food is delicious and cooked to perfection. Very warm feeling when you walk in the door. Look forward to next time.
Absolutely, hands-down the most delicious southern breakfast I have ever had! From the Arnold Palmer to the Gouda grits, to the caramel-soaked French toast, to the biscuits n gravy, to the country fried steak, to the homemade apple butter, we were AMAZED by the flavors and textures with every bite we took! Our waitress, the seating staff, and the indoor/outdoor atmosphere couldn’t have been more pleasant! Out of all the breakfast places and cafes we’ve tried in the last 6 years of living in Baldwin County, Sugar Kettle Cafe ranks as our very favorite. Although their schedule (being closed on Saturdays) is not what we would have picked, their Sunday brunch makes up for it!!!
My favorite 2 meat and vegetables in our area.
Had the French toast. Service is excellent. A bit pricey
Advertised as open, went there Sunday around 12 and no one was at the restuarant. At least change your hours on the website to show your closed.
We ate here for breakfast while staying in Fairhope. I had the country fried steak biscuit & gravy. The applebutter, although the tinest amount, was delicious. The reason why I gave them 3 stars in the food category is because the biscuits aren't from scratch. They use grands... Which makes me wonder if any of the food is homemade or is it all processed.
Without being sad, It was good just wasn't what I had expected.
Our waitress was friendly & very good.

The food here is fresh and so yummy. The waitress Sam is our favorite server and we go to her section every time. She's sweet and knows the menu. It got that old time feel, like grandma's place and it smells like grandma. Try the tomato pie thing.its delicious
Vegetarian options: Sam is the best.

This is an old house converted into a restaurant. Quint dining in a busy place. Small menu with a few select offerings. The biscuits and sausage gravy were delicious. The coffee is very good. The sausage tasted homemade but I was just guessing. Service was very good considering how much food they are preparing. Friendly and courteous staff.
