This was by far the best dining experience on the Island. A perfect date night. Food was excellent and the wine pairings enhanced the food. The servers and bartender were very friendly and attentive. Chef Phillips was excellent!

This was absolutely π― the worst food we have ever had. My family of 5 went there post beach β±οΈ to celebrate an early father's day. It took forever in a nearly empty restaurant to get even an appetizer. The food terrible from beginning to end with zero flavor. Too many things to critique. To be honest they should no longer serve food because I am convinced we were eating leftovers. If anyone were to have seen what we just were served they would never eat there. I need everyone to know do not eat here. P.s. we should have questioned the fact that ... when we were walking in, and we spoke to a patron walking out, how was the food and he did nothing but laugh....yikes. And yes we tipped our waitress. Never again, so disappointed π and still hungry. Sorry we went and didn't walk out.

Never been to Dauphin Island before. We found The Carraige menu and decided to give it a shot. Just to hang out with drinks and work on their charcuterie board. It's was amazing. We left defeated by all of the delicious meats and cheeses. While there, we saw something else we needed to come back and try another night. So we did. We had a crab cake appetizer, I got the pan seared grouper with grits and greens and my wife had the pork belly special with cheese curds, roasted potatoes and poutin. They were literally two of the best meals we've ever eaten. Dee was our server and sent Chef Suzanne or to the table so we could pay our compliments to her. Hands down the best food on the island, and I'd say it's not even close. If you want fried shrimp tacos in a plastic frisbee, you will not be happy here. If you like elevated food and drinks, and an actual dining experience, you will be glad you did. The place is a hidden gem.
My wife and I frequent guests. The cocktailβs are always made with best ingredients which starts the evening on a high point. It does not matter what app or entree you order the food quality is unsurpassed. The staff and owners are always attentive making each visit special. Also try to save room for the deserts, my favs are bread pudding and cheese cake.

Didn't make a reservation and tried to make one upon entering. Was told they weren't accepting anymore reservations due to the kitchen being backed up. The restaurant was practically empty.

Reservations made for 6:15, arrived promptly at 6:12 to find they were short staffed, and already out of their nightly special of which we came for. They were not busy at all, there were many open tables. One hour and 15 mins later our food arrived at which time I discovered the grouper was not fully cooked. The server never made eye contact so that I could return the food. Our server only offered a very off the cuff apology when he delivered our food and said the sous chef never showed. The only positive comment I can make is the atmosphere was decent and the choice of wine was superb. As a business owner in a tourist town I am always very appreciative of good service and am very careful to provide a negative rating for a business. However, this experience was inexcusable. As many times as we frequent the island, rest assured we will never darken their door again.

We sat outside because no inside reservations were available but restaurant was not near full. They need a sun shade. Full sun. Miserable. They were out of several items. The veggie bowls came w half the ingredients missing. No high chairs or booster seats for kids. No changing table in bathroom. The only payment option was cash or leave an email for invoice bc credit card machine not working.
Not a pleasant experience.

Horrible service, horrible food and drinks, unfriendly. Very expensive... Bc there's not much else around. Not worth the time or money.... Spend a little extra gas money to go down the street... Or just anywhere else. I don't add reviews often, but want to make others aware. The main host was so rude, actively talking shit about other tables to other guests. Had to ask for the bill 3x. The pimento dip wasn't even mixed up. Our plates were dirty. Alcohol drinks were stingy and also low quality. I've been here a few times, but decided to leave a review so hopefully others come.

We love eating here every time we are in town. The dishes are interesting and so delicious, unlike anything else you will get on the island. Indoors or outdoors are both lovely places to hang out and the staff is probably the friendliest on the island. Definitely stop by!

Would not return. Plate prices are for a full plate. I finished eating 20 minutes ago, and I still want lunch.
Order was wrong. I reserved a table here, and put out dietary restrictions. The waitress was unaware of what the food actually had. She ended up coming back and forth three times.
Some of the drinks came without the syrup, just the soda water. I understand it happens, but still kind of annoying.
It's overpriced, it under delivers, and the majority of the table agreed the food was bad. I got a dish that felt like someone poured out a bottle of oil in it. It tasted reasonably well, I guess.
I also saw employees coming and going from the parking lot. They looked like they were getting supplies for the kitchen out of their cars.
Not in the mood for lunch. Place looks great high-end, but menu too simple. Took about an hour to get plates served. Food exclusions made a mess. First sprite came no flavored. Pasta salad just plain. Collards came out of the market jar. Quinoa tasted lemon juiced. Bowl plates (iron cast) too small to fill my belly.

Was looking forward to a little upscale dining on the island, but got a disappointment! Started out ok but proceeded to decline. Our water was served in plastic cups, I thought there was going to be help choosing wine but there wasnβt. Our waitress was mostly no show. Finally got food ordered some other waiter delivered it. The jumbo shrimp was on the medium size. I ordered the seared perch while the flavor was good the portion was tiny I would say 1 oz. at best. We were not offered a second glass of wine till we were done eating. Also not ask about dessert.
So for a $92 dinner I did not enjoy it π«.

had the absolute best experience here tonight. After what started as an absolutely awful day, my sister and I decided to try and brighten things up with a charcuterie board and a nice glass of champagne, so we stopped into this amazing establishment β and I am so glad we did.
The food was 10/10, but the drinks and wine selection were honestly 20/10. Everything was perfect. What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the atmosphere and hospitality. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, and they were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuine. You can truly feel the heart behind this place.
Thank you for turning a hard day into such a special evening. We will absolutely be back!

What a wonderful addition to the island. My sister and I came down from Virginia and walked to the carriage for dinner and loved everything. I can't say how excited I was to have nice wine on the island, such a gift.
