“We were on our way back to Kentucky from Florida and wanted to stop and get breakfast. We were searching for places and Rays popped up. So glad we stopped. Southern charm was on point. Nancy was our waitress and she was awesome. Food was great! The prices were great too! Made us feel at home. Next time we come thru we will be stopping by again.“
“Southern foods like fried cornbread, butter beans, chicken and dressing, fried okra, and rutabaga. Also, rarely seen menu items like liver and onions and a fried chicken liver and gizzard plate. But don't worry, there are hamburgers, mac and cheese, sandwiches. Something for everyone.Hubby got the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and butter beans. I ordered the 4 sides plate, and also chose the mashed potatoes and butter beans, a house salad, and banana pudding. Unfortunately the pudding was my least favorite because the bananas were CRUNCHY. But the butter beans were excellent and tasted almost exactly like my South Alabama Granny's.This was our second visit as we live about 2 hours away. We will definitely return when we are in the area.Be forewarned, if you go Sunday after church you will be waiting about 30 minutes.“
“Found this place searching for restaurants while in Dothan. My sister and I decided to try it out since the best places are usually off the beaten path. This was no exception. Cookie's soul food would make you want to slap your momma twice. It was rather busy for lunch. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The dessert look enticing, but I was far too full from the meal. A great place to check out while in Dothan.“

“The only authentic BBQ in the Wiregrass area and surrounding. My hubby is a smokemaster and everything grilled which gives us very high standards for BBQ. The ribs here have the perfect smoke ring and they are so tender and flavorfull, you don't need sauce which is the true test for BBQ. Potato salad, collards and corn bread were spot on as well“
