Hook’s BBQ is exactly the kind of locally owned and operated restaurant I like supporting. It’s a great spot whether you’re stopping in for lunch or sitting down for dinner, and the food has consistently been excellent.

Hook's BBQ is a must-visit with a great family atmosphere. Known for their amazing sandwiches and chopped chicken salad, the combo meals are fantastic value. The ribs are a standout, falling off the bone and tasty even without sauce. The fried okra and green beans are flavorful, and many appreciate the generous portions. The chicken potato is great food, and the potatoes are a large portion. The mild and sweet sauce are both really good. The kids chicken fingers and fries are also really good. The food really looks and tastes like it was just made fresh. The staff is always really nice and always glad to see you. Many order the 2 Whiz Bang Sampler, which is more than enough for 3 or 4 folks. The pork had a great smoke taste and was really good. The pork sandwich with fries was good. The establishment is clean, with a view of the pits through a big glass window, and it offers rocking chairs outside, perfect for a relaxing meal. The service is friendly and efficient, making it a place that customers are eager to return to.
