“I visit this spot a lot since I work close by. I love how their customer service is always excellent and they keep the place well kept regularly. Prices are reasonable and they serve large portions.”
“Best honey chicken in town! And the best chicken fried rice you will ever have!!!Kid-friendliness: Kids meals are great and you get enough to actually fill your kid up!!!”
“I havent been to this place in years but upon my return to Birmingham i just had to go. The menu is still simple & the location(s) are just as quaint as they were 20yrs ago. Nice & friendly staff.”
“The chef can almost sense how you like your food, and wow you better get some.Parking: 50 space or moreKid-friendliness: Kids are welcomeWheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp.”
“Went Sunday night... Great music, great food, and great convo... The music was laid back, the drinks were awesome, and the owner was personable. My new hot spot on Sunday nights!”
“The lady that waited on me NAME is BRENDA she gave me excellent service. The owner of Magic city Grill was very nice and made sure we got everything we needed great hospitality. I will go back there to eat !!!Parking: Plenty of parking in the front of the Restaurant and the back”
“This is the best wing spot in the city. Everything…I mean everything is ALWAYS fresh even the fries. I like my food scalding hot and this is always up to par. The catfish is clean and doesnt have that overpowering fishy taste. The wings are of the perfect proportion ie not too big and not too small. The grape drink is immensely flavorful. When I think of hot wings this is my first goto. Idc if I’m in centerpoint I will drive all the way here.”
“The service is always hit or miss length wise but this go around it was just fine. We had a pretty big party and they did everything efficiently. We went Friday during the day and it wasn't crowded. The drinks were 10/10, my entire family loved them. I had the pineapple smash and it was so tasty. We always get the hot LP catfish with Cajun ranch fries for our entree. I will have to say the hot LP wings were my fav. This time it seemed a little too salty but everyone else throughly enjoyed it. I Will always hit this place up for good vibes and food.”
“The way that Milo's is set up now, you cannot go on the inside. Everyone goes through the drive-thru. The food don't seem as good as it used to be but it was not the worst. At the drive-thru they really don't give you a chance to finish your order before they try to rush you around to the side, I have to tell them to wait I have another order. When you first drive up they just asked you your order, they don't speak but I speak to them.”
“We ordered ours online. It was hot and ready when we arrived to pick it up.The ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS WE ORDERED THE 10 PIECE FAMILY DINNER AND ONLY RECEIVED TWO TINY TARTERSAUCE. it said feed a family of 4, we should have received FOUR TARTER SAUCES. COMMON SENSE SHOULD HAVE TOLD SOMEONE TO ADD TWO MORE SAUCES. WE WERE TOLD IT WAS IN THE BAG , BUT IT WAS NOT!”
“Very helpful staff, I had 4 orders so the staff brought me inside to make things easier. All the firemen needed lunch today. Food was very good, wish they would have chicken livers though.”
“Very good service, the mussels and fries were delicious, the lemon tart wasn't the best, and the soup was a bit too salty too, but other than that it was a good experience.”
“Wow. Wow. Wow. Blown away. I’m a huge fan of “fine, French cuisine” and this was certainly worth the 90 min drive to get to. Beautiful and simple, yet service and food are well planned and very intentional. Will absolutely be back, this place DID NOT MISS! Would give 6* if I could.”
“Jordan was our server and she was so friendly, very knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was amazing! You can't go wrong with anything you order. Get the dessert! Don't pass it up. It's divine! The Sangria was so tasty and not overly sweet!”
“This is one of our favorite places. Everyone in this restaurant from the waitstaff to the management is personable and express such kindness to each guest. The food is a blend of haute cuisine and comfort classics that leave you satisfied but also excite the palette. In addition this is a gem for vegetarian guests or those with food sensitivities. Treat yourself with this immersive dinning experience right in the heart of Birmingham.”
“I recently went to Helen's and it left me thoroughly impressed and actually was looking forward to writing this review. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by an amazing staff whose warmth and hospitality set the tone for the evening. One of the standout features of Helen's is its consistency in delivering great food. The steaks, in particular, are among the best I've had in Birmingham, perfectly cooked to my liking and bursting with flavor. I have been here for date night aswell as gathering with a large group, Helen's ambiance and service ensure a memorable dining experience every time. One dish that stole the show for me was the beef ribs, a succulent and tender delight that showcased the kitchen's mastery of meat. The crawfish garganelli, with its flavorful profile complemented by ricotta salata that really tied the dish together for me.The wine selection at Helen's is commendable, with a range of options to suit every palate. They have a very nice whisky and bourbon selection, which if are into that scene, you know how hard it is for a restaurant to keep a consistent whisky and bourbon list due to the ABC, but that is a different story for a different time. I was impressed with staff's knowledge of wine pairings, enhancing the overall dining experience and elevating each dish to new heights. In essence, Helen's is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in top-notch cuisine accompanied by exceptional service. Whether you're a steak aficionado or seeking culinary delights beyond the ordinary, Helen Restaurant delivers on all fronts, making it a true culinary gem in Birmingham. The only issue I experienced was I was, too caught up to take pictures of the dishes. Don't sleep on Helens!”
“Came in from out of town and this was such a sweet little shop to visit. We got the snickerdoodle, carrot, red velvet and strawberries and cream bundtlette! SO GOOD!”
“This was our first time and it was absolutely excellent from start to finish! The manager, Brandon, was SO genuinely welcoming and accommodating. Our server, Parker, was flawless and so much fun (request him!). Every dish was perfectly cooked, refined and full of flavor (smoked salmon, fried green tomatoes, fried oysters, rainbow trout, swordfish with andouille, ribeye with truffle fondue). The cocktails and wine all perfect. Will definitely return and want to thank Blueprint for a truly wonderful experience!”
“I love these people, this place, these pastries, PHEW !!! Cannot sing enough praises for them. Highly recommend everything they offer. The danishes, pain au chocolat, and croissants are my faves. If you can’t get to the bakery early enough in the morning, finding their goods at other local stores n cafes is pretty accessible & always a treat.”
“Great chicken, cooked the way great chicken is supposed to be - fried! The 3-piece 'hot wings' were primo - ?.Drove from Guntersville to experience Hattie B's & it did not disappoint. Will be back . . . . . . . . . . .”
“I was alone in Birmingham and decided to pop in here rather than dine at a hotel restaurant. I'm glad I did. While the bar seating was full, they were kind enough to accommodate me on the heated patio. The food was excellent, so much so that I had to splurge on the Genepy sundae. I will have to come back whenever I am in Birmingham again.”
“We had a great experience with our impromptu work dinner with our party of 15. Our server Thomas P. was very accommodating and worked to help our large group have a wonderful time. The flavors of the food were bold and paired well with the amazing drink menu. We loved the daiquiris and the Will You Be My Hurricane drinks were our favorites. But please don’t miss the Guri Guri - so yummy! Located right in the heart of downtown in a walkable area from neighboring hotels. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Hey there, cocktail connoisseurs! Let's raise a glass to my recent escapade at Adios, where the libations flowed and the vibes were on point. Starting off with the drinks, the Oaxacan Old Fashioned didn't quite hit the mark for me. Lacking that bold Mezcal punch I was craving, it fell a bit on the lighter side. However, the Mexican Firing Squad was a delightful twist on a classic margarita, hitting all the right notes. And let's not forget the Ranch Water - light, refreshing, and a hit with the wife. As for the experience, it was top-notch. The staff were absolute champs, handling our rowdy group with ease and adding to the overall fun factor of the evening. Ambience-wise, think normal lighting with a light-colored interior, but the real star was the impressive ofrenda that added a touch of authenticity to the space. Now, onto the ending thoughts. Here's the deal - Adios keeps things interesting by rotating out their house cocktails regularly. While it's cool to try new concoctions, it's a bit of a bummer if you find your new favorite and it disappears. Nevertheless, with their stellar cocktails and upbeat atmosphere, I'll definitely be making a return trip. Cheers to that!”
“First time and I really enjoyed it. The good was unique and bursting with flavor. I give it the ok ni and encourage anyone that is out to swing by. Located in hoover next to walmart in plaza”
“Take your tastebuds on a magical journey that will delight and thrill. This is as authentic as it gets for Greek cuisine in Alabama. There is most definitely truth in advertising as everything was indeed tasty. Since I couldn’t decide on what to order I instinctively went for a whole assortment of different flavor profiles. The baked chicken is the tell , if you go to a Greek restaurant and they don’t have a good baked chicken… walk out. This should be a staple on every single Greek menu. Seemingly innocuous but it is the cannery in the coal mine so to speak for what you can expect for the rest of the meal. It outperformed even my high expectations. Served with a grilled lemon to squeeze over the top it was perfectly salted and not over or under cooked. Our sides were the Greek fries (which were crispy in all the right ways, and a punch of saltiness from the cheese) I asked for some taziki sauce for the chicken but dipped my fries on it as well. Honestly I didn’t even dip the chicken in it because it tasted so good on its own I didn’t have to. I also feasted upon the spinach rice and tabouleh and both were opposites on the flavor spectrum one with warm savory spices that melted with the tomatoes and rice and the other bursting with fresh herbs and spring vegetables with Frekkah which is a roasted green wheat that adds such a wonderful texture and pleasant yet slightly nutty flavor. The orzo “Mac and cheese” is no ordinary Mac and cheese side, this Greek version of a classic dish had such an amazing mouth feel with some garlic and herb notes that just elevated it to the next level. And I’m going to end where we started which was with the appetizers. I can never get past the spanakopita (which is heavy on the dill just like I like it) But today I added in the garden humus which had fresh limas and asparagus with an array of herbs with a drizzle of olive oil… and that is just the topping, underneath laid a silky smooth hummus that was not grainy or bitter . The fresh pita sent me over the moon… I was in greek heaven. The chicken pita was like having all the freshness of the salads and the spot on roasted chicken all in one…. So you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I have yet to try something I absolutely didn’t love . We were so stuffed that we had to get the desserts to go but my god … if you haven’t been here you are missing out on one of the best restaurants Birmingham has to offer. It’s a hidden gem in plain sight.”
“First of all let say that this is the best corn ever and I have traveled many places.. The welcoming atmosphere and the service was amazing, but the first bite into that corn was crazy I left no kernel behind ?? absolutely delicious and my family and I will be coming back. I 100% ”
“In town visiting and decided to try this place. Glad I did, because from the service, to the food, and atmosphere, it exceeded expectations. Krystal took our orders and although I have no dietary restrictions, my friend was ordering for his wife and was very happy that they were able to accommodate with items being gluten free. Especially on Tuesdays. Will definitely return and visit.Ordered the hot chicken and waffles. You’re able to substitute the wings for tenders. Waffle had flavor by itself and the fresh warm peaches with house made butter complimented each other very well.”
“Normally at Twin Peaks I don’t enjoy the serves but, Stevi was absolutely amazing. She was outgoing and funny made the meal more enjoyable. She went out of her way to make sure I was accounted for and I realized I wasnt a huge fan of my drink and Stevi reassured me it was okay and got me a new drink. I also got to witness her with a extremely rude customer and she handled it exceptionally well and then came over to check and me and my friend with a smile on her face. She made us laugh and just enjoy our time at Twin Peaks all around. She’s the kind of person you would want at a restaurant. Coming back specifically because of how amazing she made the experience.Vegetarian options: It was good, my friend is vegetarian”
“The name "Wing Heaven" is what it is!! The wings are very yummy! They offered many wing flavors and other types of food. But the wings are what they are known for. In my opinion, it is not in a good location but the food is good.”
