My friend and i ate here and loved it. The food was great and great service too. I am horrified at so many bad reviews. Sadly, most people don’t take time to give great ? reviews but they will give bad reviews

I came into the restaurant to have my first glass of wine at a bar, and I chose this sweet spot because of times I’ve come before and enjoyed my experience. The food is great and I highly recommend the Fairhope burger, or any burger to be honest. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and I always feel welcome. The only thing I will say is that the restaurant itself and staff members need a little TLC. They’re understaffed but I can tell they’re working hard to make us customers happy. Nonetheless, this is a great spot and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t already been to Fairhope Grill and Bar.Parking: The restaurant is conveniently located in a shopping plaza leaving plenty of parking spots for customers.

Do not get the brisket. Way over cooked like trying to eat strips cut out of a boot. Would not be able to eat with out something to drink.

If you aren’t a local or are new to the area I wouldn’t give this place a chance. Not worth the rude stares and no greeting upon entering. I know the bartenders greeting ability worked for the guest that came in behind us on a Tuesday night. We sat our selves at a table, realized the weird vibe and walked out.

The owner was a complete j*** after I commented on his FB about his wings being under cooked. Instead of apologizing and try to fix the issue he decided to verbally attack me. From reading his other customer reviews I can see he doesn't care about his customers nor should he be in retail. Avoid this place as there are many good places to eat in Fairhope and surrounding areas. No need to subject you out your friends and family to a jackass with raw chicken.

Ordered normal bar fare. Fried foods were way overcooked, both the wings and chicken tenders. Chicken tenders were some odd shaped chicken parts and so over cooked they were inedible. Nachos were tasty but more like a taco salad over chips with the romaine lettuce added.

Just tried to have a burger at Fairhope's Grill and Bar. It was the worst experience I've had a restaurant in my life. That includes the time I got salmonella from undercooked wings at a place in college. When we arrived there were 3 people at the bar and no one sitting at any tables. The bartender came over and got out drink orders and things seemed to be going OK. When she came back a few minutes later to get our food order, she apologized for the wait. It was cool, no problem. She came over again later and apologized for the wait again and stated she was having to cook and run the bar. We said no problem. The problem arose when after a couple of other people came in to sit at the bar, and a couple of tables. For about 15 minutes all we could hear was curse words and chaos from the kitchen. At least 15 minutes, probably more. I wanted to leave. Another woman brought out my wife's nachos about that time. I said I wanted to just leave because of the cussing and ranting and raving from the kitchen. The nacho meat was cold and the chips were stale. 10 minutes later, I timed it, my burger came out. I'm a carnivore, I love meat. I'm good with a medium burger. This thing was raw. It was cold and the bacon was burnt. I left money to pay for the drinks and left. No way was I going to try and make things right with chaos going on in the kitchen. Use to love to eat here. Wings were always great. But I can't go back after this experience.

Awful service and the food was even worse. This place as really gone down hill. The bartender (only server in the place) seemed to be having fun taking shots with others at the bar. When I got home with my takeout order, parts of it were missing, others were burnt.

This place has great burgers and nachos. Now don't go expecting the Ritz, as it has a REAL dive bar look when you enter. The staff is super friendly and like I said, the food is tasty! We didn't try a mixed drink, but the beer was extra cold, just the way I like it!
Great food, good atmosphere, staff is friendly, courteous. I just want to let everybody know to try it out sometime. My favorite is the Fairhope roll.

This is in response to the owners remarks to my rating of the restaurant.No I don't always put a review and I apologize for not explaining my rating. First off, I love mushroom swiss burgers and my mother-in-law took us to this restaurant about 7 to 8 years ago. I remembered the burger being so good so I wanted to go back to get it again. During my visit while in town the waitress was very rushed and rude and not many people were even in the restaurant. We ordered our drinks and it took about 5 minutes to get them. Then when she brought the drinks to us she said she'd be right back to take our order. She finally returned another 5 minutes later. I ordered the mushroom bacon Swiss burger and told her how excited I was for it because I liked it so much last time. She didn't even respond and just took the next order. When she bought our food the patty was over cooked and the bread seemed old. Even with the melted Swiss cheese and mushrooms it wasn't enough to help the burger. I was very disappointed. Since my first experience was a great one and my last experience was just horrible I rated it a 2. I know restaurants can have some off days. I'd give the restaurant another try but not for a few months. I hope the staff's attitude changes and the burger will be better. The next time I go, it will tell me if this is a restaurant I should keep in my rotation of restaurants to eat in town.

In years past, we loved this place and would also meet up with family from the surrounding area to eat here. Unfortunately, the past three (very spread out) times we’ve eaten or ordered out from here, it’s just not worth finishing.Laughably, I felt hesitant to share an honest opinion because of the responses. However, I’ve gone to this restaurant for the final time.
