Cafe 222 is a fantastic little lunch spot – friendly staff, fast service, and true home-style Southern cooking. The meat-and-three setup has plenty of fresh sides to choose from, and everything tastes like it was made in someone’s kitchen, not a chain restaurant. Great value for the quality and portions – I’ll definitely be back.

Both of the ladies I spoke with at Cafe 222 were incredibly friendly and so accommodating. Amy truly went the extra mile by creating a beautiful tray filled with their yummy baked goods for me to send to a local business. Since I’m out of town, she generously offered to deliver my order, which was such a kind gesture! I can’t say enough wonderful things about my fantastic experience with Cafe 222!

I was very, very impressed by the turnip greens and butterbeans. Greens are not the easiest dish to get right and these were “like grandma used to make.” Jalapeño cornbread finished off the meal perfectly.
The two ladies working were friendly and helpful. The inside of the cafe was clean and cute.

Very convenient quick and easy place to grab lunch and deserts in downtown Florence where everything is very reasonably priced! Cafe 222 is run by 2 of the most polite people I have ever met that make some of the best homemade entree's, sides, and especially desserts. Every time I go to lunch here, I sometimes can't help myself but to get a brownie as well because of how great they look and taste. It is defiantly a must to try the chicken, squash, and potato casseroles along with going back to try the meatloaf as well.
Had lunch there today and it was amazing! Food was hot and delicious, the portion sizes are great, and the ladies working are so friendly! The lemon brownie is a must have! Can't wait to go back.
