I was born and raised in the Shoals, I don't know a single person that was that doesn't have memories at this place. Even my grandparents had memories of this place when they were little kids in the 1920's. My favorites: Orange-Pineapple Ice Cream, Banana Sandwich, Oh my Gosh(been a while, not sure if they still make these), Grilled Cheese with a pickle. It was blazing hot today with temps close to 100 so what better place to go but to Trowbridge's? I had a chicken salad sandwich toasted on white bread. For dessert, a Banana Split. This place is very unique and is reminiscent of a much simpler time. I highly recommend this, especially in the sweltering dog days of an Alabama summer.

First time visit. Had to try the famous orange- pineapple ice cream and I gotta say, it lived up to it's hype. Wonderful and very tasty. Also had a scoop of smoky mountain fudge and it was great also. Will definitely be back to try some other flavors as well as a few sandwichesaybe
