“Ok I pride myself on my own bbq and sauce so when I eat out I eat bbq. I love an old place that looks like it’s been around forever. They pass the pulled pork was cooked great, I like the sauce it’s homemade not doctored up store bought the slaw was really good the jojos were good fried potatoes btw. And one of the regulars gave us a bottle of chicken sauce and told us it’s great in the jojos , she was right . It might would have gotten a perfect score we’re it not the profanity coming from the kitchen. For a family place it was bad. I felt for the two families there with young children. They really should be ashamed“
“FINALLY!! Passed this place a while back (closed) and didn’t realize it was in operation. Then 3 and 1/2 weeks ago, I googled Valley Head restaurants and have been trying to get there to try the ribs ever since. We seem to have caught all the closed Saturdays lol, but since hubby was off on a Thursday, we went for lunch. The picture doesn’t do justice, those ribs are FINE! Delicious, fall off the bone (literally) juicy, and none of that overly smokey flavor. Perfect! And the pulled pork was the best we have had anywhere in quite a while. Very cute place with friendly staff. My husband didn’t want me to brag on them too much because since moving to the area, we keep having these great first meals and not so great follow-ups (at other restaurants). He doesn’t want me to jinx it on this spot. We will definitely be back to try the bbq nachos! (And more ribs!!)“
“Their mash taters are to die for. They're so friendly. And it's a pleasant atmosphere. Will go back again n again , and if you have not ate here in Rainsville, u have to try. Oh, Their shrimp po boy is amazing really good , and so so was the sauce , it goes with the shrimp perfect . Thanks guys for 5 star service ..Parking: When their busy lunch/dinner park in the back . “Good BBQ and good service. I don't personally like their BBQ sauce( too sour for me), so I order it without and use the BBQ sauce I like on it. The meat is always tender and doesn't have fat or gristle in it. The slaw is very good too.My husband loves their ribs. You can drive thru or call ahead and order. Good place to go,but seriously needs better outside lighting at night,because the business is hard to see at night& you might drive right by! If they'd light up better at night they'd probably have many more customers They also have lunch specials. I recommend it!“

“Large smoked chicken sandwich and large pulled pork sandwich- did NOT disappoint! Sauce is on the side- tried original which was very good and spicy which was PERFECT - a little heat that lingered but did not burn! Both meats were tender, juicy- not the least bit fatty or dry! Baked beans were good with addition of a little of the spicy sauce, chips and pickle as other side-good compliment to the sandwich!They offer a smoked half chicken, and brisket I'd come back to try!
