Today my wife and I drove up highway 11 from Steel Alabama to Fort Payne checking out the Highway 11 Garage Sale. Near the end of our trip, we stopped at this Jack’s restaurant for lunch. My wife ordered a double patty burger combo and I had a grilled chicken sandwich combo which included fries and a soft drink. My wife ordered the double patty burger because she says it tastes better than the single patty burger; something about the meat to bun ratio. Usually Jacks is low...

Not sure how this got 4 stars. Hash browns were old, and there was a huge pan of them. The pancakes had enough butter/margarine to change oil on my chevy, and the eggs were definitely powdered and not very good.

First time trying Jacks during a mini-vacation trip. Typical Fast Food joint with a focus on Fried Chicken and Burgers. Apparently a new cashier was just starting her shift as I entered the restaurant. She was pleasant, but very soft spoken. I had to ask her to repeat herself a couple times to make sure I understood her. Two other sets of customers came in behind me and placed their orders. I then had to ask for a beverage cup for my meal. I waited as both other customers...
