Great place to eat good food
I've been coming to this area for the 7 years. The number one thing on my list is breakfast at the rim of the canyon cafe not anymore. APPARENTLY NEW OWNERS took over and decided to go cheap. The bacon used to melt in your mouth better than grandma's they got it from Sam's club, the bacon now is like shoe leather and also changed the sausage also
Why fix stuff that isn't broken I won't be back.

Literally the best patty melt & blt ive ever had in my life. Staff was friendly. it was $30 total for onion rings, blt, patty melt, okra, side of chicken & broccoli rice casserole, and a drink. Bathrooms clean. And they have ice cream

Excellent small town secret here! The most amazing staff and great food. If you are in the mood for a home cooked meal like meatloaf or a burger or chicken fingers - they got something for everyone. Their breakfast is where its at. Best breakfast option in Fort Payne. Period. Restaurant closes at 6 so dont be late!
Friendly staff. good eats. Close to nice lookouts.
Love this place. Great cheeseburger and great service. Grab a great meal before or after hitting the curvy scenic view on the canyon
Really good food and they have some of everything.

Hiking the falls and the excitement that was had when we searched ice cream and a location popped up a half mile away. Great little country store, clean restrooms, and very friendly owner. Definitely will be back when Iβm in the area again.
We stopped at Rim of the Canyon Cafe & Grocery for lunch yesterday and absolutely loved everything about it! The plate lunch (beef & bean burrito, pinto beans, hot jalapeno cornbread, mashed potatoes and blueberry cobbler!) was homemade comfort food at its best⦠fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope to find while traveling through the Smokies. There are picnic tables outside for soaking in nature while enjoying your food! Also, there is hand dipped ice cream!
What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the people. Every person we met was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuine. You can feel the heart in this place the moment you walk in. It felt less like stopping at a restaurant and more like being welcomed into a community kitchen tucked in the mountains.
If youβre anywhere near Fort Payne or heading toward the Smokies, do yourself a favor and stop here. Wonderful food, wonderful people, and the kind of place you remember long after the trip is over. ποΈπ½οΈπ

We stopped here for breakfast on our way home from a weekend stay in Mentone, AL. This was such a neat little place. The breakfast was really good and everyone in the place were friendly.

little roadside rest near Little River Canyon Falls (3 min away?). Milkshakes, burgers. Good onion rings! Outside picnic tables. Was a welcome stop.

Beautiful little place, right before Little River Canyon Entrance. Super sweet staff, Husband had the BBQ sandwich and I got grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings, both were delicious. The onion rings were fresh made and the best I ever had hands down. Definitely will be going back next time I'm in the area.
