“We were greeted warmly by the staff when we entered and brought drinks immediately. The food was delicious and our waitress was cheerful and attentive. Our table had pimento cheese puffs for an appetizer, and they were served with pepper jelly. The serving was just right for the four of us. We had shrimp and grits (the grits were creamy and heavenly), grilled chicken sandwich (with some of the best fries!), and two of us had the cobia which was served with a lemon caper sauce, wild rice, and roasted Brussels sprouts. The fish was mild and the serving was generous. The collard greens were my only disappointment, although my husband liked them. They were a bit dry for my taste. Overall this was a delightful meal.“

“I finally visited the original Back Forty Brewing in Gadsden. I’ve been to both the Birmingham and Huntsville locations on multiple occasions. I arrived shortly after they opened on a Saturday. I was the only customer for most of my visit. An older couple eventually came in and then a couple of ladies arrived to set up for a large birthday party they were having that night. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the beer. The beer selection at this location was not as large as the other 2 breweries but the were still a lot of choices. I started with the Peanut Butter Porter which is very smooth for a 10% ABV beer. I sampled the Watermelon IPA and Dreamsicle IPA-Brut. Both were ok but not my favorite so I opted for a Devil’s Staircase IPA next. I also had a burger and fries. The burger was excellent. The Birmingham location is closer to home but I enjoyed visiting this location as well.“

“Like their food/atmosphere but dang in the last 2-3 weeks their pizzas got smaller! They used be like 16" now they're like 10" and same price and no explanation!!! Disappointed.“

“I love the old decor and age of this building. We had the side salads with the house made Italian dressing which was really good. We ordered the better girl pizza. Deep dish pizza with fresh quality toppings. They definitely have their own take on pizza it's not your traditional stuff. Its better than any of the chain pizza places out there. Plenty of cheese good sauce nice crunchy edges. Highly recommend.“

“It was okay...nothing to brag about, she did make fresh coffee, however the grits were cold-barely melted the cheese, put so much h butter on out toast we had to reorder toast, bacon cramped on same plate as main meal, made an event of how much my military discount was...this location only discounts the Veterans portion of the meal...no one else. Two egg breakfast with bacon is now $12! 😬“

“Just ate at Barney's, by the Petro truck stop, got the 14oz ribeye cooked just rite decent price .The food and service was great place was clean, I drive a truck and will definitely stop again .“

“Initially I gave a 1 star because we had Been here since 5:50 it’s now 7:25, and still no table. I get that we are a big party; but don’t tell people 30-40 minutes and it be over an hour wait!!

However they redeemed themselves with excellent service and good food.“

“went to supper with my sister and we had a great waitress and wonderful food! the burger was good and so was their skillet queso. their customer service was great! when we went to leave my steering wheel was locked up and we were having trouble getting it unstuck to crank my car. there was two workers going to take their lunch and they grabbed two others to help us out. so four of the wonderful workers helped us get my car going! they were great!“
