We were looking for a restaurant that was dog friendly and on the water. Being away from my country and the excellent food you find in Mexico City I have always been critical of “Mexican food” in the US.
I never thought we would find the most delicious tacos in Guntersville Alabama. Although the presentation for tacos Al pastor was not the original (trompo) the flavor was amazing! El taco campechano was delicious too!

Celebrated another Cinco De Mayo bday tonight and the shrimp tacos were AMAZING as always along with the guacamole and cheese dip! Bumped into 2 friends from high school and also got to talk with Alonzo(The owner) who I also went to school with and haven’t seen in years! Great atmosphere and highly recommended!!!
My family and I call this the best Mexican in town, and it usually is. However today after we had all eaten and stopped to use the restroom I watched (long line for the 2 stall bathroom) a member of kitchen staff use the restroom stall, come out and not wash her hands. I called her on it and she rolled her eyes, left the bathroom put her apron back on and went into the kitchen.
