I was visiting Haleyville and was surprised to discover that the old Taco Bell building was now Samurai Sushi. We picked up dinner and took it back to the house. The service is friendly and professional. The building is clean and bright. The rolls were prepared in the front after you ordered. They were very good. The hibachi plates (salmon, chicken , and salmon) were also good, and there was enough food for 2 servings. Highly recommend.
This was a pleasant surprise- who would have thought having sushi in Alabama would be this good ?!?! Our family loved this place and we highly recommend this restaurant.
I was so unexpectedly surprised. From my experience with Sushi in this area, nobody really gets it. I would consider myself a sushi snob in a good way because I know what it should be. They had a lot of choices for rolls and some were very unique. While there were not a lot of fish options, on the appetizer menu they offered Octopus Carpaccio, something I wouldn't expect to see except in at a high end venue.
