Tamal
Delicious golden corn kernels, grated and mixed with Cuban sofrito and pork or chicken. Our tamales are of a different breed.
"El Cubano" (Cuban Sandwich)
Slow-roasted, Cuban mojo marinated pork, sweet ham, Swiss cheese, pickles on light Cuban bread slathered with mustard then pressed to melt the cheese infusing the flavors of the meats and pickles Aristotle's wisdom spoke to the reality of this sandwich the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Empanadas
Savory pastries bursting with your choice of picadillo habanero, ham, and cheese, guava, and cheese, or chicken then deep-fried to golden perfection.
The Chick
Chicken breast sliced and lightly pounded, submerged in our proprietary blend of spices and citrus juice then grilled and served with lettuce and tomatoes on light Cuban bread slathered with our homemade spicy sauce. Warning: this sauce is not rated for everyone, ask for no sauce if you don't love the flavor.
Tres Leches
Delicate and light homemade cake, bathed in an abundant three kinds of milk mixture and covered with our homemade Italian meringue. You've never had a dessert like this. We promise.
Steak Salad
The Piggy
Mojo pork is "Fall of the bone" roasted pork chunks, lots of it. With onions, fresh lettuce, and sliced beefsteak tomatoes, on lightly toasted Cuban bread. The chef was not interested in sharing this one but begrudgingly we made her.
Croquetas (2 pcs)
Lightly breaded bites of fried bechamel with ground-cured Spanish-style ham or Spanish chorizo. They are addictive you've been warned.

The Cuban sandwich, fried plantains, and guava empanadas were made fresh! We scurried home and devoured our food. The cafe is to-go only, but what better place to completely indulge in this amazing food but in the comfort of home! 10/10

I went down to Hartselle to visit friends and stopped by this place on the way back because I LOVE Cuban food. I grew up in south Florida and fondly recalled eating pressed Cubans growing up. I've been chasing that high ever since! Usually I'm left disappointed, but this Cuban was very good and extremely delicious. Not perfect, but maybe memory is better than real life at this point haha. The empinada was also delicious. Staff was friendly. I ate both on the hood...

I was given some empanadas from the owners son that were from the Old Havana 🇨🇺 Cafe this past Saturday night at work. I was given the chicken, beef, ham and cheese and guava empanadas. THEY WERE HOT, FRESH AND DELICIOUS! I wished that I had taken a photo before devouring them but I didn’t 😂 I am planning on visiting the restaurant soon and I can’t wait! The food is amazing and you should definitely give it a try!!!!!
