To many servers on cell phones within view of customers. Makes customers want more attention to service for better tip to be given. Sometimes difficult to get extra condiments or soup when wanted.

The service was excellent. The kun po chicken that I had was very good and the sizzling beef my wife had was excellent. We enjoyed our time there and we will come back.

This was absolutely the BEST General Tso's chicken I've ever eaten.

Overall the food was good, but after the meal was over. One of the servers followed me into the supermarket after I paid my bill and demanded a tip in front of the person I went to dinner with. I was heavily embarrassed. I love the food and atmosphere but that left a sour taste in my mouth.

I judge my Chinese restaurants by their crab Rangoon, and Mr Chen’s has the best I’ve ever had by far. Their eggplant with garlic sauce was also great and the chicken with broccoli was scrumptious. The service was superb in the atmosphere was very appealing.

Authentic Chinese food that hits the spot! For the best experience, order a few dishes and share with a group. The portions are meant for family style. I would recommend the salt and pepper squid! Even when we eat family style, we always have a lot of food left over. Great spot to stop and eat and do some groceries.
The restaurant is located inside of the Asian grocery market. The restrooms are actually in the market and they aren’t always the cleanest.

This place is our favorite family get together restaurant for many years. Great authentic Chinese food comes in great portion, in nice environment and decent service.

Disappointed that this place was recommended and did not deliver. The Food was not flavorful. General tso, low mein, egg rolls fried rice were all below good takeout quality. Service was good though.

The food here is so hit or miss depending on who cooks your food. If you’re lucky and the head chef cooks your food on a slow day, it’s incredible. The fried rice and noodles are full of wok hei, the crispy squid is salted just enough and not overcooked. When it’s a busy day and another chef cooks your food or it’s the day off of the head chef (Wednesday currently), it’s really bad. The noodles taste like soy sauce, the crispy squid is bland and rubbery from overcooking and the fried rice is clumpy.

What an amazing concept, an authentic Chinese restaurant inside a store, this is the type of experience people live to find!

HOOVER Mr. Chen is so much better!
I’ve ordered so far, 5 different dishes and only one was good, while the rest was below average. Half duck one was too dry, Beef Hoe Fun noodles was too white and under cooked, making them little hard and bland tasting, the Twice Cooke pork belly was the worst, hardly and pork, paper thin sliced, mostly crunchy cabbage and thick dried bland
portobello mushrooms. BUT, I do love the Marked side, except that one time I switch out flash shard when I cooked the bean sprout I go at that Market place.
Think I’ll stick with Red Pearl restaurant.

I’d give it 3.5 stars. Tasty, fast, but a bit on the small side.
