Food is always fresh and delicious. If i could afford it I would eat it everyday! 10/10. I order it at least once a month with grubhub. I have went to this location once everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend.

Poke bowls are bowls of rice, brown or white, with meat/seatfood protein toppings you select, augmented by additional toppings like onion, crunch, crab, hot cheetos, wide variety of choices . You can also build a vegetable Green bowl. The Ono Fries are recommended. If you are allergic to bowls or the toppings I mention, then the Homewood Ice Cream Shop next door may be a better fit.Vegetarian options: The Green Bowl is ideal for vegans.

First visit. My sister gave me suggestions on what to order. I had a small bowl with salmon, brown rice, ginger, seaweed and scallions, with sumari sauce on the side. Also had an order of fries. The meal was delicious and the leftovers were still good the next

Love it, have been twice. Love the Lava Bowl minus ginger, seaweed on the side for my wife to eat.I do wish the salmon was cubed the side of cheese cubes and not baby blocks. They're a little too big but easily cut in half, but I'm pretty picky.

Truly one of the best spots to eat in Birmingham. Food is consistently good and they have some of the best fries in town. The Homewood and Summit location are both outstanding.

The staff was great and the inside felt open and clean. The toppings were nice and plentiful, but the rice...overcooked mush. It was heading for greatness, but the foundation of the bowl was horrible.2 suggestions: serve the rice warm, not hot, and don't over cook it. Ideally a short grain rice would be much better as well, providing better texture.

They have the Aloha spirit. And more importantly they make the perfect poke bowl. I love poke shops and seal them out and this one might be my favorite.

OMG!! Just amazing!! The poke bowls are fresh and flavorful, the staff is super friendly and very welcoming and helpful. The absolute best poke bowls I have ever had! I even got my husband hooked on them and he’s picky. Thank you Ono Poke! You have a full time customer from now on, and I don’t mind the hour drive for it!

Poke Bowls are such a great summer dish!...& my favorite place to get one in Birmingham is Ono Poke. Ono Poke has 3 convenient locations: The Summit, Homewood & The Pitzitz Food Hall downtown. If you don't feel like getting out you can also find them on DoorDash, which is where this order came from (from the Homewood location). I love this place because of the variety of fresh toppings & yummy sauces they have to offer. My go to order from Ono Poke is the build your own bowl option. You pick your base (I always go for white rice & greens, but you can also pick brown rice), pick your protein, pick your toppings & your sauces. This night I went with spicy tuna, crab salad, avocado, edamame (but they accidentally left that off), crunch, ginger, sweet onion, scallions, tobiko, jalapeño & Hot Cheetos. YES, Hot Cheetos! Those + poke bowl = where it's at! I also got sides of the Samurai Sauce (sweet soy) & Wasabi Aioli.Believe it or not, Ono Poke has some fantastic fries! They're seasoned with furikake rice seasoning. I like to dip them in the Samurai Sauce. There are a few places in town to get a decent poke bowl, but if you want the BEST one (imo) go to Ono Poke.

I’ve had poke in several states/locations and this was by far the worst poke bowl ever. First, there was no tobiko which I had ordered… so back to the counter and they put this scoop of green tobiko which I never had before - I asked about it and they were all like “oh it comes in green sometimes”… then eating it, I tasted wasabi which I hate but thought maybe some accidentally got on my rice or something (I just googled it and green tobiko is flavored with wasabi, red is flavored with beet juice and black with squid ink) - but after a couple of bites, my husband and I both were questioning the tuna and salmon … never mind the “aioli” on my husbands bowl, it was just this sad broken/lumpy looking Mayo… so back to the counter again to ask about the fish and if it was sushi grade - the three kids behind the counter tried to convince me it was… at best it was frozen and then thawed. The kids shrugged their shoulders. No “how can we make it right”, nothing. So $30.00+ went in the trash and I walked out highly disappointed. I pray we don’t get food poisoning cause we are on the road (ie. Traveling). I’d skip this one if I were you. Two stars for the location sharing an entry way with the ice cream shop next door - and THAT is worth a stop. Try the toasted coconut!
