It is the best organic Mexican food that I have had. Everything is fresh and delicious. If you like Mexican food like I do, you really need to try it. I am just a customer and want it to stay here in Hoover. Even the guac is fresh, and bright green, unlike other places. Great pleasant staff and quick service. Yummy

The in-house margaritas are praised as being exceptionally good, and the owner is knowledgeable about tequila and Mexican food. The fresh, amazing food is described as a step above typical Mexican spots, with legit true Mexican food that all tasted great. The chips are very thin and mindblowing, and the salsa is thick. The chicken enchiladas chile verde has awesome shredded chicken, and the beans are pretty great and authentic. They have a large impressive bar with lots of mixed drink offers. The ambiance is nice typical Mexican with comfy booths and loads of TVs to watch a game. El Tejano also features live music on Thursdays and live Karaoke.
