“Our evening here was off to a slow start but it was worth the wait. Our food was excellent and I’ll definitely be back. We had the Saag Paneer and Paneer Tikka Masala. The Tikka Masala had a lot of cilantro. It was different but still very good. We also had a side of buttered naan and finished off with some kheer. The paneer tasted very fresh as did everything else. This might be my favorite Indian place in Huntsville. The portion size was good value for both the entrees.“

“Let’s be clear—this isn’t “good for the area” food. This is the kind of place that makes you question why you’ve tolerated mediocre meals your entire life. The lamb burger was absurdly good—perfectly cooked, ridiculous flavor with the goat cheese, and seasoned like someone in that kitchen actually cares about their reputation. Every bite felt intentional. No filler, no shortcuts. Everything is made in-house from the grinding of the meat to the pizza dough for their pizzas. Next level care and service.

Now the pork belly corn dogs… borderline offensive how good they are. Crispy outside, rich and melt-in-your-mouth inside, with that perfect salty-sweet balance that makes you stop mid-conversation and reassess your priorities. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’d come back just for those and ignore everything else on the menu—which is saying something. I had a spiritual experience while eating these.

The atmosphere hits that rare balance too—laid back without feeling lazy, energetic without being chaotic. It feels like a place that knows exactly what it is and doesn’t try too hard, which ironically is why it works so well. Ryan the owner is a social animal and you will typically find him walking around talking to people.

Service? Dialed in. No awkward hovering, no disappearing act—just people who know the menu, move with purpose, and don’t waste your time.

Bottom line: Goodland’s Pour House isn’t playing in the “pretty good local spot” league. This place is operating like it has something to prove—and backing it up. When you leave here, you will be satisfied and happy - which is what good food is supposed to do to you.

Don’t pass this up, give this place a shot and you may try to work your way through the menu - I sure am.“

“I came with my daughter and grandson and we had a wonderful dining experience! We loved sitting outdoors & noticed beautiful heaters available for cooler temperatures. Having gluten-free options was so extraordinary for the pizza and pasta! We ordered both!!! 2 pizzas (pepperoni & mushroom with caramelized onions) & Chicken Alfredo. The salads were so unique & beautifully plated. The bar options were also fabulous!! Having lived in Los Angeles for a long time and having great exposure to exceptional restaurants, we were certain to express our delight to our servers at having such delicious options today. We thought our favorite Italian restaurant in the state was in Birmingham, but being here changed our mind! Additionally, the pricing for our meal was excellent. “Food was okay. This is not our first time visiting. We brought friends this time. I ordered an omelette and the eggs were a bit overcooked. The rest of the table had good food. The service was meh....the server never came back for coffee/soda refills until we stopped them. The server had some meh table manners. It almost seemed like they did not want to be working that day. In the end, the server was quick to bring our bill and the suggested tip started at 18%. We were glad that the friends enjoyed the meal and didn't mention the service. I guess it was our turn to get the other side of the flipped coin.“

“Really good chicken fried in peanut oil. Very similar to Chick fil a but a little bigger and way more options. I enjoyed my chicken Corden bleu sandwich. The tenders were also excellent. The breading is nice and soft with good flavor and juicy chicken. The real star are the fries and the custard. You should absolutely get a bag of these shoestring fries so soft and smashable. We love a good custard and they make a great one. They do mix ins to. The mint Oreo is worth it every time and for chocolate lovers get the Dutch chocolate and add Oreo. Order at the counter. Seating and atmosphere is super typical little exposed brick some written words on the wall concrete uncomfortable chairs nothing bad but no place you want to linger. They do hit you up for a tip when you order which is just wrong for this type of place and will always make me think twice especially since prices are high already, wish they'd pull that down at least for the entry level sandwich. Two people can easily get over 40 dollars on the ticket here. Overall it's a good treat when you are in the right mood or grab some fries and custard for a quick snack.“

“Bandito is not just a great inexpensive place to eat. It’s a local institution. Before everything was online, people publicized their events with posters, handbills, and word-of-mouth. Bandito Burrito Co. always has a collection of announcements in the front window. Sometimes I go there just to find out what’s going on.“

“This place was amazing! Got the Bayou Hurricane loaded tea here (pineapple and watermelon) on a hot day and it was exactly what I needed: cold, fruity, and refreshing. And the fact that the size you get is huge and it's only 24 calories is just the cherry on top.

I was worried that all the teas here were boba once I arrived since that's not my preference, but upon asking I learned that that was just an optional add-on if you want. They have so many options and all of them sound awesome. Also, they have milkshakes too?! Definitely would love to come back.“

I have never had the ice cream but the owner gave me a special treat and it was AMAZING!!! If you have not tried this restaurant you really should!!! “First visit to a buffet, since the pandemic. You have to eat with grace, asking God to bless the meal because there were lots of food and lots of peoples. The food was okay, I enjoyed it, but the veggies needed more soul food seasoning. They were a wee bit too bland. I probably would visit there again, perhaps. I am not too up on buffets during this Coved crisis. But I would recommend this restaurant and also recommend the cooks adding some seasoning spices or herbs or margarine to their veggies“

“Not frm here & decided to stop in when I noticed they kept a parking lot full. Walked in and was greeted and informed about what good recommendations. Got the BIG Combo with a loaded baked potato with came with a salad and drink. Food was ready in about 10-15 mins. Once home I enjoyed every bit of that steak and chicken.“
